Recently, a team of linguists studying the winged creature we've known as the Aerie discovered that we'd misunderstood these majestic beasts all along. After reviewing their language, it's become clear that they refer to one another as Irions. What we mistakenly believed to be The Aerie turned out to be the name for their home, not their species. In light of this discovery, all references to Aeries on record have been corrected.

I think my only discontent with the revamp is the front legs. I believe that the lineart in the front should match the texture of the scales down them. Without that, they kind of look... Strange to me. Overall, I think they're fantastically better though.

Why are we constantly changing the names of species when we revamp them? :/ It's getting rather annoying and it's "nice" to see that the only thing you fixed were the feet... which now look even more awkward. <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/smiley_sadface.gif" border="0" /> Sorry but I think this could have been done better

I just, I don't know, it doesn't feel like an Aerie anymore. And yes, I'm stubborn, I'm still calling them Aeries. Why the name change? I've got 5 Aeries(officially, one is going to be a spectrum Aerie) and they are by far my favorite pet, so I really hope that some of the special colors don't change too much. I think the angelic and hydrus are perfect the way they are. I'm still looking forward to spectrum and galactic.

It does look like Neopets or Viacom went after you for copyright infringement regarding the Eyrie, their likeness and species name were just too similar. It's better to have the pets unique to this site.

I prefer the new name. Aerie was way too close to Eyrie. Better to have a more unique name. The revamp makes the griffin look so much more imposing. Congrats.

Doesn't really matter if they look like eyries, after all the concept isn't exactly something unique to neopets. It's a griffin type thing.

I love this revamp, a lot. I myself don't give a flying fuck if they revamp the Hydrus one. I actually want it revamped ASAP and am looking forward to see what the artists do with it. If I don't like it, oh well. I'll just change my Aer- I mean Irion to another color that I do like. ;P

I'll be interested to see what happens to my Bloodred Aerie. The old Bloodred Aerie was mostly a color change rather than being all blood-and-gore so I'm sort of hoping the new Bloodred Aerie follow suit (fierce rather than gore-y).

- The revamp does not suit our tastes. Unable to reconcile it, we pout for a while, then change the pet into something else we have been coveting (In my case, the Chibi Aenoid, or a nightmare pet of some kind).
