Just a quick update on the rules, especially for the forums. From this point forward, Caps and Punctuation rules are no longer standing around the site.
If you have received a warning in the past for either of these, it is now null. (It'll still show up on your preferences page, but it will not count toward being frozen in the future).

Wow. This surprised me. I kind of liked the fact that Subeta had those rules - it set a communication standard that you didn't see on the other pet sites. I guess not everyone felt that way. Oh well.

When one is used to writing correct English, all punctuation is used as a matter of course.

My only hope now is that the vast majority will ignore people who make all-caps titles or massively overuse punctuation.
Personally I am glad about this. I always found it silly when an otherwise fine topic was locked simply because of the title.

I would get those warning all the time and, truthfully, they have kept me from the Forums. Every single time I would post, I got a warning for one thing or another. I used to get warnings all the time about my signature size when it was under 400px or whatever the rule is. I really think that some of the rules on this site are way too strict . . . or people are way too report happy.
the only part of the site it's annoying on is the advertising board. people just drag a lot of people in because of it :c

I'm on the not yay side of this one. I appreciated the forums for the don't use excessive caps rule, among a few others. 'inwardly groans' I'll be skimming a lot less forum topics now, for sure. 'sigh
Just as long as people don't create forums that are in all caps.
