I would just like to add a sense of urgency to the earlier news post. Earlier in the year, as posted in the news, we had a security lapse that resulted in user account information being released to the internet.
This was caused by a type of attack called a MySQL Injection, which also resulted in things like NPC accounts being taken over, and things of that nature.
Now, since that happened we have requested four times for you to change your passwords in various mediums. Today we asked again.
There has not been another exploit, there has not been another breach of security. The same exact list of user information is floating around, and users who did not change their information the past four times they've been told to, are now paying the price.
So, one more time. If you have not recently changed your password, I am asking you to please change your password. I'll make an ultra cool free gift everyday for a week next week, if everyone makes an effort to protect their online identity. I promise!
We aren't just trying to make your subeta life hard by remembering a new password, we are trying to make sure that all the work that you've put into your account isn't lost.

I understand where your coming from, but being rude about something they dont have universal control over isnt the best way to go about it. They're trying to help US here, yknow. Our pets, Our sp, Our items and whatnot. Accidents happen, no matter how careful you are, no website is ever 100% safe.

I'm trying to be cautious and change my pw more often. I now have a tiny notebook that I keep all my site passwords in and it's in a SAFE place near my computer.

If you have problems remembering new passwords, just right it on a sticker note and slap it to the side or your monitor or something~
And I know some people skim past these news posts and just shrug it off(I did with the first post), but if you haven't changed it yet and happen to skim through the comments here - It's highly recommended that you do it to protect yourself because we heart you~ c:

4 times? Then I probably missed that all ... I think ... Maybe I had my pw changed, maybe not. Have been too bizzy with real life to remember. Thanks for explaining why we should change the pw again.
The same list? So if we changed our passwords last time, we shouldn't have to do it now since the password they have on the list is outdated... right?
The HARDEST part is to remember the new password .. but ok .. done .. sigh .. (walks away repeating the new password - VERY quietly)

I just changed my password. I'll keep changing it whenever its needed. I keep all my passwords written down in Notepad and in my iPod touch, so i won't have a problem remembering lol.
Remembering passwords? People... remember their passwords? o.o I have it noted down, I never even TRY to remember it XD
I change my password whenever they mention it, regardless. It's not a hardship, and I love the staff for caring about us enough to bring it up. You people are THE awesome!
