Have you come across an awesome pet profile, that has the perfect name, the perfect layout, and the treasure chest to match?
Now when you browse pet profiles there is a link to nominate a pet for the Pet Spotlight! You cannot nominate your own pets.
The criteria that we will be using for winners include:
1. Aesthetically pleasing profile
2. Well thought out story
3. Appropriate treasure chest
4. Appropriate minion
You will be alerted if your pet wins the Pet Spotlight. It will also get a notice on its profile saying that it has won the spotlight.

It's a good idea that you didn't mention prices, so it might not become some kind of popularity contest ^^
lol i agree with Penguinhoarder in the fact that it reminds me of the neopets competition, but at least that'll motivate us to work on our pets instead of just having them collecting dust on our profiles.

That's neat! :3 I guess I'll have to do a lot of work if I want a chance at it, but it will also be really cool to see what gets spotlit. :3 The way the site is set up, everyone's pets are pretty much hidden away unless you make an effort to view them, so it's easy to just miss really cool pets... so this idea is great!

A nice idea, but only for those that are creative. I don't really like having to come up with stories for my pets, I'm just not that creative. I like to just have my pets with pretty colors and all.

kind of a cool idea, i sometimes see pet profiles and think wow, so it'll be cool for people to get the recognition of the work they put into their pets!
I love this idea! It gives a big incentive to working on parts of your pet you otherwise wouldn't except to roleplay... Plus it gives people more of a reason to buy overlays. ;D
