Introducing Tres Chic 2013!
Senior style correspondent Rana El-Amin, here. The world of fashion has been abuzz with news about Tres Chic, the most dramatic and exciting fashion competition of the year. Six contestants go in, but only one of these budding fashion icons will impress the judges and earn the coveted prize: Their very own Subeautique line!
This diverse group is sure to bring us thrills as they battle to be the best. Let's meet the competitors!
Sofi Marez: This fierce half-islander lady is a world traveler, and she brings a hint of her homeland to the fashion world with subtle tribal touches. While the islands may be in her blood, fashion is in her heart, and that passion can be seen in every design, even if she is somewhat secretive and reclusive herself.
Luciana Adessi: An artist at heart and newcomer to the fashion scene, Luciana's mix of the stereotypically feminine and the unconventional is sure to dazzle. Never afraid to take inspiration and run with it, Luciana has books full of designs just waiting to be seen.
Oscar Cannon: A Centropolite through and through, Oscar puts the haute in haute couture. His attention to detail is second to none. His work boasts strong lines and precise designs, and his work pioneering the comeback of tights and leggings has already been felt in the fashion world.
Camilo: Representing the Lower East Side of Centropolis, the urban king of fashion plans to bring the style of the streets to the mainstream. A mix of the industrial and the whimsical brings a special touch to whatever The King touches.
Gwenyth Verdi: From stunning Veta Lake, this reclusive flower-child is sure to be a stunner of her own with her nature-inspired offerings. Her love of fairy tales and magic is put into her work, resulting in wonderfully whimsical designs that bounce and flow with lace and frills.
Primrose Potter: Primrose, or "Rosie", calls a reclaimed Riverside barn her home. She shares it with her with her 8 cats: Marjorie, Maggie, Molly, Mae, Midge, Madge, Mary and Milly. Quirky, with a flair for the over dramatic, she has an obsession with knitwear and vintage trinkets and a penchant for singing off-key in inappropriate situations.
Who is trendy and who is dated? Only time (and your votes ) will tell!

Oof, so hard to choose for today. Especially between Sofi and Camilo; I love them both
Can't wait to see further designs from all of them 8D

Totally voted for Camilo. Most of the outfits are pretty nice, but Camilo's design is just more up my alley.
Such cool personalities, I love this idea! I voted for Gwyneth, even though Oscars was awesome as well! :)
I voted Camilio, but now I regret it! Oh well it was still my favorite design in the ones showed today.

I loved Gwyneth's piece best, but Sofi will probably win over my heart in the other categories as I -love- tropical/islandy stuff. Not nearly enough of that on here.

Loved Sofi and Primrose! But went with Primrose because you can do some seriously awesome layering with that stuff!

Sofi and Primrose are my two favorites but I had to go with Sofi this time - Sorry Primrose...I know we're both cat lovers but Sofi had RED WEDGE SNEAKERS

Arbor, are you behind Camilo ? Reminds me way too much of Street King to be a new designer.
I wanted to vote for one of the dudes because we need more male SubQ items (or rather, some more male items in general ;) ), but Oscar isn't very promising there right now, and as I said Camilo is far too Jester-esque.
Gweneth gets my vote this round.Pie is that you ?

Hmm interesting concept here.
Also really interested by the contestants wearing mainly existing items (or maybe the all exist, but some are magic recolors??) it's a neat touch :)

OH I THOUGHT YOU HAD TO VOTE FOR WHAT THEY(THE CHARACTERS) WERE WEARING. OH DEAR.
I like Rosie's and Gwenyth's for designs. They're so cute.

I so want the hat from Camilo's set - too bad it's a male set so I don't see much of a chance. ^_^;
.oooooooooo...oscar says tights and leggings eh...hmmm...visualizes hot men in sharply designed threads.... YESSSSSSSSSSS

You are allowed to vote once for each round and you cannot change your vote.
Each round ends every day at 4 PM Subeta time.
so don't miss a day?

Voted for Camilo because I feel like I would actually wear something like he is.
I love Oscar, Luciana and Rosie's characters though.

So I'm pretty much a leg layer addict also. And I don't know who to vote for. I think Primrose has the best accessories in this one with the stockings, shoes, and scarf but the basic pants/bodice doesn't catch my interest as something I'd wear. Gwyneth and Camilo have a nice overall look (and I like the mood their art sets) for their sets but they don't look individually pleasing (except Camilo's hat). Sofi's definitely has the most pieces I'd actually use in it. Yep.
I can't wait to see the new few rounds <3
