Mack the Nostalgic Kumos has won the Pet Spotlight!!

Sir Buckley the Bold, Sister of the Sands, Lord Wybert, and Lady Etheldred have returned to the Battle Coliseum for a friendly battle or two. They've even brought a new pal, Court Jester Whimzee, for you to fight.

These challengers will be sticking around until 11:59pm on December 20, the last day of fall!

This year, Melody has revamped her holiday gift exchange to bring even more festive cheer and fairness to the season! We heard your feedback about previous years' one-to-one matching and are excited to introduce group exchanges with a sprinkle of Melody magic. Here’s how it works:

What’s New This Year?

• Group Matching: Instead of being paired with one person, you’ll join a group with four other real users and Melody herself! This helps ensure the gift exchange stays lively and fun, even if some participants are less active.


• Melody’s Magic: Our beloved Luminaire NPC, Melody, will actively add items to the gift pool throughout the day by purchasing from user shops. This ensures there’s always a little something extra for everyone, and you might see her in your shop logs!


• Daily Resets: The exchange resets at midnight Subeta time every night. You can join one group per day, and you’ll be matched as soon as four other participants are ready.

How It Works

• Contribute Gifts: You can add up to five items to your group’s gift pool each day.


• Quality Counts: While price matters, Melody also values how useful and unique your items are, as well as how often they’re used in the community.


• Gift Distribution: At midnight, Melody will distribute all the items in the pool randomly, ensuring fairness by making sure you don’t receive any of your own gifts.

A Few Notes for the Best Experience

• Think Fairly: To keep things fun and avoid disappointment, consider balancing your contributions. Adding extremely high-value items every day may not result in equally valuable gifts, simply because of the nature of the exchange.


• Everyone’s Different: Remember, users have varying access to items and points. This is about embracing the joy of giving, not just the value of receiving.

Looking to the Future

While we’re not using it yet, Melody is keeping track of the quality of gifts you contribute. This score might influence future groupings, so your generosity (or lack) could help you match with equally enthusiastic participants in the future.

Do you have your heart set on an older CW item? Well, you're in luck! The Custom Wearable Pawn Shop will open Saturday, December 14th at 12:01! It will be open through Wednesday, December 18th at 11:59 PM.

PLEASE NOTE: We do expect things to be a bit laggy, especially at the start of the sale. Please be patient with your purchases! Try to avoid refreshing on the purchase screen, as you'll run the risk of doubling up on a purchase.

Floss the Angelic Mahar has won the Pet Spotlight!!

As a nice treat for Luminaire, Alexander at the Library has the chance to give out the delicious storm and riftborn cookies from his quests. How'd he get his hands on enough to last the month? Well, he had a very rich benefactor who totally didn't lose a bet.

Like the other 20th Anniversary cookies, these will retire at the end of the month. These two cookies will still be able to go out their original ways.

What a delicious treat this month's Cash Shop collection is!

You have until the next monthly collection is released to get these challenger summoners from the Cash Shop. They are were all released in December of previous years. Note: The Glittering Feather is an Winter based challenger and will stick around December, January, and February.

Things to do throughout the month for Luminaire

Melody Related
✨ Visit Melody every day for a cool new item! Some nights Melody might just hand out an old book or two from previous years. :eyes:

✨ There are two achievements related to visiting Melody. For Lumineve Regular 2024, you must visit Melody 20 days in the first 25 days of December because the achievement will retire at the end of December 24. For Melody Regular 2024, you must visit Melody for a total of 25 days during Luminaire. The days do not need to be consecutive for either achievement.

Tree Related
🎄 Choose your 2024 tree and have fun decorating it. Add a little something extra by adding a background for your tree.

🎄 You can donate sP to Melody after visiting her cottage to receive an Old Box of Ornaments. Opening the box will give you a random selection of ornaments to decorate your tree with. You can mass add ornaments from your inventory to your ornament inventory here.

🎄 You can adjust your tree gift settings here to be 'everyone' 'friends only' or 'no one'. Tree's will 'open' on December 25, which is when you'll be able to access your gifts! Below is the sCode for adding your tree to your status, on the forums, and more.

Miscellaneous
❄️ Keep an eye out for the snow fairy minions, which you can give via random event. There’s an achievement, 'Fairy Catcher!', when you find one. You can release snow fairies from your inventory for the 'Free all the Fairies' achievement. There is also an achievement, 'Fairy Collector' for having one of each color snow fairy in your inventory.

❄️ The snowtapult will open once Winter starts on Subeta on December 21. More information about throwing snowballs will happen then!

❄️ You spread joy on the Luminaire Forums throughout Luminaire. The forums will be open until January 5 to finish up any last-minute business.

❄️ Luminaire ends at 11:59pm on December 31. Once we get closer to the end of the month, we'll have updates about New Years.

❄️ No information on Free Shop, so don't ask. 😡
