I knew you’d come through! I just got a message from Jogoh and Dara. They’re feeling a little under the weather, but otherwise in good spirits. Unfortunately, they didn’t get much new information. Dara said it felt like he was being pushed away and he can’t recall more than that. Jogoh, however, said she saw a very brief glimpse of something. “A broken stone face in the sand.” That’s what she said, couldn’t say who it might’ve been. This whole thing is just terrible, isn’t it? I hope we can put an end to all this soon!
Oh! I forgot the most important part! When they came to, they said a creature burst out of the workshop and took off into the sky. They sent this… thing… along and said you’d know what to do with it.
Maybel hastily unfurls a roll of fabric, revealing a pair of Possessed Fabric Shears. She implores you to be careful before bidding you farewell.
While it has been fairly quiet since Mattieu’s possession, you figure it would be a good time to check in with Esther. You find her in her usual place, but she’s not alone. Maybel, the minion caretaker, is patiently explaining something to her as you walk in. The older woman catches sight of you and waves you over.
My goodness, you’ve got quite the timing! I was hoping to speak with you. Esther’s got all the creative-types giving updates to her so we can try and put a stop to these possessions. That’s going fine, and she says no one has missed a check-in lately, but I can’t stop thinking about the things poor Mattieu wrote about. Specifically, “the floating market in Shengui Guo.” I know, that could mean anything…
I’ve got a dear friend there by the name of Dara. Now, I don’t think he’d be a target, but there’s that lovely girl, Jogoh, he’s sweet on that certainly could be. She works in that floating market, makes the most beautiful clothing! I spoke to Dara a day ago and everything was fine, yet I can’t shake this feeling that something’s happened. Esther tells me she can’t spare the resources to check up on everyone individually, so would you mind indulging an old lady and making sure they’re all right?
The delicious food trucks will be brought back around midway during the holiday!
Neugarten will end on August 13. At the end of the holiday, the stalls close once again until next year and the food trucks will disappear off into the sunset so make sure to grab items while they’re available!

Nuegarten is coming up! What’s Nuegarten? It’s a market of sorts that runs for two weeks. You’ll be able to visit various stalls with fresh foods, sustainable items, and vegan items. We will also be bringing back the food trucks so y’all can grab those delicious old foods.
Quest-a-thon prizes will be coming soon! There's been a lot of schedule conflicts, because this isn't something we want only one person online to release! Especially if that one person is me, I bring all the trouble.
Subscription bonus item for July will be coming later today or Monday! I usually do these on the 15th of the month but I, like a dummy, thought the 15th was Monday. I'd sneakily add it now, but I need Bug to test a thing that goes along with the release.
New reward card? I've had a lot of people ask me if we'll have a new reward card sometime soon. We will be having one in August! We'll give you a week before warning. Also, because the cash shop challenger for June came out so late it came out in July, we will be keeping the Possessed Pearl Cameo in the Cash Shop until the new reward card. <3
Free Shop is still planned to go out after Neugarten. We will be including all sorts of items such as retired items, holiday items, special shop items, and cash shop items! It'll be a week long and we will give y'all a bit of a heads up before it starts. Just throwing it out now, any free item is a good item. Let's not attack each other over complaints about not getting a shiny expensive item or a bucket of retired goodies.
When that splendid flower woman was talking to me not so long ago she was mentioning one of her most favorite toys from when she was just a little girl, I am telling her this is not a toy, is a tool! But she say she talking to her little watering can all the times and it was becoming her best friend and made her growing up to be who she is today!
I am saying to her well in that case I think I must make these friends for all peoples, as it is a happy occasion to have a friend while you are making things growing in your garden! Especially when you are growing things that are very scary, ya?!

Mattieu’s doing just fine, thanks to you. He’s resting and taking it easy. He did write this out to you, though. Said he wanted to give you the information while it was still fresh in his mind. He doesn’t think it will help, but there’s got to be a genuine lead in here, right?

I can’t say if those locations are important to the being or if they’re scouting for potential targets. I can’t say whether ANY of this is helpful. It’s all so terribly frustrating. Before I go, there is a final matter. When I was broken from my trance, this Possessed Pearl Cameo fell from my hand. The creature I created immediately fled, but I believe this can summon it. Please, don’t let it roam free.”

Due to lag and loading issues earlier this week, I’ve decided to extend the quest-a-thon until 11:59pm on July 13. So you’ll have one extra full day to chip at that second goal as well as enjoy the various holiday bonus items! <3
Yesterday we launched our new authentication system that adds a ton of new security features when making requests to our API. That means your account is safer and we have more tools for dealing with cheaters.

It’s time for some extra goodies to go out via quests for the rest of the quest-a-thon, don’t you think?
Cinthia is giving out old Fireside restockables, including all those potato items y’all keep asking me to bring back. Alexander is giving out old Vesnali restockables while Maleria is passing out old Luminaire restockables. Seems totally in character. Pete has decided to be a wild card and will be passing out old Survival restockables! Thankfully we can count on Carl to hand out Keelhauliday restockables. Last, but certainly not least, Quentin will be handing out old Morostide restockables.
Just a reminder, it is only a chance to get these bonuses from quests. It is not a guarantee.
Chaotic token shop restock just wasn’t enough chaos for me. Let’s try a choatic Crystal Shop restock! Lots of items in small doses, what will you choose?
Over the next 24 hours or so, I will be restocking items randomly in the Token Shop. Don’t assume an item restocked earlier will appear in a later restock, I really am choosing at random. We are not adjusting the wait time between purchases, either, so you’ll have some hard decisions.
It’s been a while since we’ve done any sort of security reminder, so we thought it was best to do one now with the increase of users online!
We strongly suggest you keep your password different for every site you sign up for. There are various applications out there that will help you keep track of multiple passwords, so you aren’t risking yourself using the same one everywhere! It’s a good idea to change your passwords regularly instead of keeping the same for years on end. If you haven’t changed your Subeta one in a while, now is a good time to do so.
If you are worried one of your accounts across the internet has been hacked, check out a site like https://haveibeenpwned.com/.
The Quest-A-Thon has officially started! You’ll have until 11:59pm on July 12 to complete 1,000,000 quests as a community. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE (keep reading to the end of the news post)!
Don’t forget that regular users can complete 10 quests per quest giver and gold account users can complete 15 quests per quest giver a day. The only quest this does not apply to is Blue Building quests, which are 5 a day for everyone. We will not be penalizing users for using forum groups to store their sP.
Okay but the current prizes don’t interest me.
The point of the quest-a-thon is to encourage everyone to do their quests and come together as a community to beat a common goal. Yes, we have some set prizes, but you also get those sweet sweet quest points + sP from the quest givers. Starting on July 7, quests will be giving out some old holiday items as a nice treat. We’ll have more information about who will be giving out what on that Wednesday! :)
What happens if we make 1,000,000 quests before the deadline?
There is a second goal! We did this for the last quest-a-thon because y’all were amazing and it worked out well! If y’all make it past 1,000,000 quests, there will be a news post bringing attention to the second goal and reminding everyone what ALL the prizes would be.
If 1,000,000 quests get completed: Participants of at least 1 quest will receive 1 pet slot, 1 Style Hoodie. Anyone that does at least 100 quests will receive a new Green Sun Sparkle HA Border. We will once again be awarding the Gold Sun Sparkle border to the top 100 participants. If you place in the top 100 participants, you’ll get the Gold Sun Sparkle border as well! (We expect a lot of ties, so more than 100 people might end up getting the gold Sparkle border)
If 2,000,000 quests get completed: All goal one prizes (assuming you meet requirements) + 5 referral points + 10 loyalty points + a forum title yet to be determined. Give your suggestions for it in the news comments and we’ll do a poll later!
If y’all don’t make the 2,000,000 quests completed goal, that’s okay! You’ll still get the 1,000,000 quest goal prizes, assuming y’all have beat that. ;)
