Hello everyone! We are aware of the issues with New Subeta not letting some users log in, and therefore making it so you can't access the forums. The programmers are working to try and debug this issue and have everything functioning as soon as possible! We will update as soon as the issue is fixed. Wow, I can't believe Morostide wasn't extended. I count at least 1-2 days of play that I lost due to lag and errors, plus errors that made some of the event unplayable on other days. Disappointed, to say the least.

I work in tech support and my team is having some issues with our new platform/product as well. It happens, and it's okay. Thank you for letting us know and doing your best to fix it.

Quests not working on the last of Morostide really bombs, can't get that sweet extra loot, especially from the bonus Quentin quest. Really disappointing.

I know trick or treat times get lowered on last day but if we won't see an extension then why are patch times still at 17+ minutes

Hoping for an extension, of course, but had fun even with troubles even if we don't get one!

I think Keith is the only full time programmer and Bug is part time. A whole site + rebuild is admittedly a lot to build for 1.5 programmers...
BUT I feel sometimes the prioritization and clarity of what they're working on is very poor. I manage a design team of 4 and dev team of 10 for the site I work on. With limited resources it's all about creating a steady plan. Though hopefully the new person they hire for community outreach will take some of the load off of them and help address the community needs.

Honestly I wasn't going to spoke my opinion, if I spent 5 dollars on this site was too much because I live in a country where its money is too inflated to spend any value in dollar. But I'm quite annoyed that in 4 years of playing this game I've just seen ant-sized progress about events, we are never able to enjoy one single major holiday without any issues and this new subeta is scr3w1ng everything. have no problems with new subeta layout or design or colors or wardrobe etc etc etc, but It is never a good idea to release something undone and in alpha just for the sake of showing it, mainly when you have older and bigger problems in the basics.
I wish we could know WHY is so hard to fix it permanently.
ySorry for the rant, moroside is my favorite subeta holiday and it is absolutely frustrating to pass through this for thefourth time.

The new version of the site IS the recode, that's kind of the whole point. I know it's had a lot of problems and I'm frustrated too, but I feel it's a bit disingenuous to be demanding a recode when that's literally what they're doing.

So on the final day of one of the most popular events on Subeta half the site isn't working. Token shop, cash shop, wish lists aren't working and forums and wardrobe keep going off and on. I don't remember the site being this bad for a long time. Hope they can get it fixed soon.

Are the programmers the same group (Usually Destiny and Raya, and thank you both ♥) that comes onto the forums and let us know when things are awkward?
Not in my experience, but I didn't know Subeta had more than one programmer, so maybe they are. We know things aren't an immediate fix, and just wanted to make sure they knew.

I can't see the forums at all, and when I try to log out and log back in, I get an error message. The site is nearly unplayable. Thank goodness for the direct trick or treating link.

Is there a way to keep the "look" of Subeta when the site is transferred over? It is pretty much impossible for me to navigate New Subeta. I NEED the dashboard. And why, if New Subeta is so amazing, why does it have so many problems? Stop trying to force this laggy, user-unfriendly, error-ridden thing on us!

Also, insert my usual complaint about the freaking problems that have not been fixed after 16 years, where is the promised recode, are the servers that are supposed to spin up whenever the lag gets bad a myth, where is Teahouse, why won't you answer questions about how long Rouland will stick around, etc.

Your users are/have been very, very patient. Treat them better by solving these fucking issues or shutting down until you do.

To reiterate to staff: it's not just the forums; anything that is "New Subeta" is the issue. From the wardrobe preview not working, having to re-login every time I want to change me HA/or see what newly added items will look like/buy something from a CW shop/access a CW shop, and the lag of purchasing anything for quests is getting a bit irritating.

That said, it'll take more than lag to drive me away. I know you're working on it and that you have let us users know that you are aware of the issues.

To sweeten the deal of appeasing, perhaps you could extend Morostide just a touch longer?

I'm a bit sad that my GA is going to waste not being able to Quest right now, on top of the other issues. I hope this gets fixed soon. I agree with those saying New Subeta feels like a bit of a lost cause if not for the security stuff. Refining the current site layout feels wiser than throwing it all out and starting over.

From my understanding of what staff have said in the past.. we have to have New Subeta so that things overall can be modernized, improved upon, and be added to, new features and all that. It'd be easier to work with & make it possible to hire (programmers) for (because it's too difficult to do with Old Subeta) and maybe things would work more smoothly. It's unfortunate that the in-between state of old & new makes Subeta difficult to use sometimes but tbh (extreme) patience is needed on any pet site in 2021...

Hadn't been bugging me that bad today, but now I can't get into the forums and wardrobe, even if I do the Old Subeta logout/login trick. Ugh, I get stuck with a zapper skin on for awhile...

Glad to see other users asking for "new" subeta to be ditched and work put into old subeta instead. I absolutely agree about wanting to keep the interface we have now. Navigating websites can be a struggle for me and other people. The fact that things have been relatively the same for ten years makes it very familiar and easy to get around as it is now.

it was beyond frustrating not being able to access the wardrobe at all for a while with the new subeta issues. It's not even a good wardrobe when it 'works'... what we used to have years ago was fine. :(

I felt like that too. Like "Meh. We know", but it's really made moro a drag and not fun. I can't even get the hexed border and I've been hexed more than 100 times.

OK so I got it to log in on new.subeta, and it's still not loading the forums for me. Which makes it REALLY difficult to trick or treat when I want to target specific items. And the times haven't even been reduced like they historically are for the last day. I feel like the staff here is so burnt out that they can't really respond to problems in a constructive way, and so many players are growing dissatisfied. There's gotta be a way to have the functions for events work without all *gestures* this. I don't know what it is, but functionally speaking I feel like the status quo just can't keep going like this much longer.

I wasn't going to react because I'm not that much of a frequent player, but in the comments people are keeping old subeta and honestly, from what there is from the new site; I would hate for this one to go in that direction. Old subeta sometimes also doesn't work well, but the new wardrobe is horrible for me to use half the time, the logged in issues and the forum issues got me often enough too, and the interface there tbh looks horrible compared to this subeta where you can have so much information and links in such a neat, small format.

I agree with other to do away with the new subeta just 1 website (subeta.net) is good but I wish you luck on fixing it. You could always fix the new subeta if u have to have it but not connected till you know it's working right.

came back to say what kismet did :o could we keep 'old' subeta and just do away with the new? i think this site is so cute and well laid out the way it is already, everything has its place, i think a lot of people would be sad to have to migrate to the new version/not cope so well with such a drastic user interface change, among other things, especially when the 'old' subeta is so well loved!

Can we just keep "old" subeta and improve upon that. This "new" subeta has caused nothing but problems, it seems. It was released far too early and having so much connected to/relying upon an obviously bugged thing is kind of annoying, tbh. It should just be removed until it's worked on more. Partially releasing something so important to how all of the site functions isn't a super great thing to do, imo...

I cant get the forums to load now and I been trying to help people get the tp and the egg achievements it makes it hard tot is fun but as little easier would be nice I tried logging in on the new subeta like it says to do but that keeps trying to load and I was just in the forums

It has been pretty bad for so long, that I refuse to spend any real money on subeta because of it. Not a single dollar. I can barely use the wardrobe, delete outfits, do quests, restock, read or post on forums, or do anything. The lag has been relentless and its made this moro really not fun and actually killed my spirit. New subeta isn't an excuse anymore because it is like this every holiday, this one is just worse than others.

I feel like I've seen it said somewhere that the programmers aren't sure why the new site was kicking people out so often (like every hour or less even) long before Morostide. I get it's for security but at the same time, if Staff can't figure it out, is it worth hindering the user experience so much? Is there else that could be done for security in the mean time?

The authentication update was the worst update I've ever experienced on this site, it has caused nothing but problems for the users since day one. I dread the day we are forced to fully use the "new" subeta website. It's horribly hard to use, and lags relentlessly if it decides to respond at all. When the authentication update dropped there were so many functionality issues affecting the wardrobe specifically that were reported right away and still have not been fixed after months. :pensive: I'm really sorry to have to say it all, but like a lot of people this is edging towards the last straw for me. I really don't want to leave because I do very much love subeta (well, "old" subeta), but even with how long it took to make this post it feels like there is a lack of caring because this has been going on for days now. Where is the community manager that there was a big to-do about hiring??

Well anyway, good luck, and thanks for finally addressing this where we can all see it. Sorry for the negativity, but this is very frustrating. Just wishing for usability in subeta's near future.

I haven't been an og member here so I'm speaking for myself. I understand more or less that running a site isn't easy and subeta is no one's full time job. Site errors are a common thing in most avi sites and I have lived with them since I started them. Communication with the community may not be subeta's problem but short term solutions may be? There should be better things set up to handle large traffic. While issues cannot be seen ahead of time, I don't think it should be user responsibility to be understanding for so long. I will still choose to support subeta through things but I wish these site issues had long-term solutions. Thank you for working hard for this site.

Honestly, my patience is running thin. After almost 15 years as a daily player on this site, I've heard it all already over the years. New servers will automatically turn on in case of lag (not now, apparently). You only need to log in once to new subeta for everything to work (nope). Communication will be better with weekly updates (for a couple of months, then every 2 weeks, month, couple of months, then gone again). I can fully relate to wat Elysium is saying. I come here to relax from a stressing job. The non stop errors and lag are instead making me extra frustrated. I get that unexpected errors can pop up, I really do. But not on every. single. event.

Not only is there a log in issue, but the rotation of wave 2 items also seems off. I’m getting a lot of old items and first wave items. I still haven’t gotten the random hexed border and there’s horrendous lag right now

I hope you are aware that it is not just the forums but wardrobe, shops and everything else connected to new subeta. I am also not even getting a rotation of TOT or PP items. Just the same 1st wave items.

Events will have issues, but even then there's better communication. The status site wasn't updated (about new.subeta.net not working properly, along with the forums and wardrobe) - Unless we have a third site somewhere else where update are posted. "Programmers are aware" is good, but posting it in the forums you can't often load wasn't the answer.

I'm sorry, but I am tired of constantly fighting this site to play it. Every holiday it 500 errors throughout. The never-ceasing lag. Now New Subeta preventing me from accessing the wardrobe I have sunk hundreds of dollars into over the years, or accessing the forums to even try to be social when I have that limited energy. I just don't enjoy this "game" any more. I'm tired of having to just shrug and accept that the site isn't functional.

I can't wait until everything is migrated over and whole again. :persevere: I keep being logged out of New Subeta and it's a bit frustrating. I'll be browsing the forums and then all of a sudden I can't load anymore posts because i've been logged out. Or i'll try to make a post but get the endless spinning cycle until I go back to the wardrobe and log in again. Thanks for the update though, i'm glad to know that issues are being worked on.

Cannot utilize/access forums, or wardrobe, or quests. Hoping for an extension on morostide too since this has impeded our ability to really participate for multiple days in a holiday that was already shortened a lil. Sorry for the stress this is likely causing programmers. Crummy all the way around.

Thank you for fixing stuff! Is there going to be an extension of Morostide hopefully. This is beyond my(our) control!
The lag is aweful and the CWs people paid to put on the site can not sell. I had two items I tried to buy for two days and could not.
I am sure my items might have sold more also.

I would also like an update on the extensions, since Rouland hasn't appeared yet so I'm assuming it will be extended by at least one day. I actually have everything I need from this year already, but I am still trying for the sad egg achievement.

For whatever reason I found if I don't let the username/password auto-fill, and instead enter it manually, it allows me to log in instead of perpetually loading. Not sure if that will work for anyone else. But it's the only thing that has worked for me.
