I wish we'd gotten another chance at that robe, but thank you for giving us a second opportunity to try for the owl! I've really enjoyed the challenge these questions have provided, even if I did want to tear my hair out researching one or two of them, hehe.

Yeah, I really don't think English speakers have an advantage for this one. Most English speakers I know don't speak in symbols. x)

Philo and I seriously spent almost three hours going over every minute detail of it and hashing and rehashing them over and over. XD

BTW BloodChocobo, owl isn't that good. It tastes a lot like bald eagle, kinda gamy and stringy.
This was indeed a good question. Difficult to find the answer, even with a bit of research. Only one, clearly defined answer. Kudos to the person who submitted it and to DebiLee for choosing it.

The last trivia wasn't flawed at all, even though I got it incorrect for abbreviating the genus. But I'm glad for a second chance for this prize. If it makes you feel any better Ryndarwen, english is my first language and the only word I understood in the question is the word "owl". And I consider myself to be smarter than the average bear.
I love this trivia. this is how trivias should be. even if my answer turns up wrong, there was glorious searching and an exciting urge to find the answer. kudos to the submitter.

Actually, no, the first Trivia wasn't flawed at all, as I originally had thought that it wasn't, and as several very nice high school biology students, biology teachers, and biology majors have written and commented me to let me know. <img src=http://www.subetax.org/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif border=0> I had said that I'd re-use the prize to be nice and let more people win it, due largely to the stupidly overinflated prices people had been asking for the prize.
