I don't think it's that bad, but still voting old. It's cute overall, but I really dislike the grey tint to its body, as well as the tails, which were way more beautiful on the old one.

This is the first proposed Hikei revamp I've actually liked! I love the mane especially, it's so fuzzy xD I just want to pet it!
I think the tails look really, really weird though, like they were just kind of copied and pasted onto its butt in Photoshop. They don't flow very well with the pet itself.
I do agree with Seerow, however, that it looks awfully grey.

Good art, but OH MAN are those eyes ever terrifying. So big and round and moist looking... and the buzzcut mohock isn't very appealing either. If you a) tone down the eye creepyness, maybe make the pupils smaller and b) give it slightly longer hair to decrease the 'shaved' look, it'll get my vote fo sure.

I like the eyes, the muzzle and the ears. But I don't care for the unruliness of the mane or the thickness of the tails. And something about the way the Hikei is standing seems off to me. Maybe move the right fore limb a little closer to the left fore limb?

First off: They gray tone. While I can understand the need to darken it a little from white so that highlights can be more possible, I think this particular tone of gray is a little too dark. It gives it an overall 'dull' appeal to it. Or perhaps it could be fixed by adding a little more contrast to the current shading and highlights?
The back foot furthest away from the viewer, I believe, is turned at the wrong angle. If you notice, the front foot on the same side is turned more outwards, or away, where the back foot is turned more towards the viewer.
I also believe the tails could be a wee bit larger, to keep in spirit with the old one. I couldn't say myself, but fans of the old one may also prefer to see the mane with a more "trojan horse" look to it, like the previous revamp had. But for all I know, it could have been changed for a reason from that. x3
And as far as the mane goes, I think it could use more highlights. It looks rather flat compared to the rest of the hikei. I feel also that the rump/back end could use more detail shading, as it, too, looks a little flat in comparison the front/chest.
Aside from those things, though, the anatomy and coloring is wonderful. I love the face and the little ears, the legs look fantastic, and so on. It's so adorable and has quite a lot of personality, imo. <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" /> Good work!

I like it! I would suggest making the tail orbs bigger and leaving the back hind feet white, though.

The stomach needs to be more rounded, the colouring of the grey should be whiter, and somehow it's less cute than it used to be...
I like the old one better too, the head throws me off a bit, maybe a bit to small?? I agree with Coli about the stripes too, they need to be a bit darker.
This is ok, but something about the face disturbs me.

I love this new one! It's spunky and happy and cute. There is a lot more personality to it now, than there was.
The only thing I dislike is the grey body. It should be whiter. Or the stripes should be changed to a more prominent colour.

I'm voting the new one. If it wins, I'll probably get one.

I love the actual design. One slight crit would be that some of the stripes are a bit too light. I know that's due to lighting, but they're barely visible.
Sorry, still don't like it. The Hikei just looks so dull now. I liked the brighter whiter color scheme. The grey color drowns the aqua stripes in my opinion. I do like the face though. Really cute <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />. As for the anatomy. The stomach area is bothering me a lot. I think it should be rounded and not tapering like a dog.
The old one was nicer. It had that definitive "My Little Hikei" shape to it, and this one... I'm not sure. The SD-ness is sort of lost, and that was my favourite part of the old image. Giant heads ftw? <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />

What happened to the old revamp one...I liked that one much better, although I still prefer the original.
I'm struggling to make a comment that won't be offensive to the artists that did the newest revamp image.

Oooh - so this is the correct one. XD The body and pose are much, much better on this one. The one thing I don't actually like is the mane. The old mane seemed to suit the Hikei much, much better. Other than that, I quite like it. x3

Nothing on this version seems to fit well together in my opinion. The hind feet are just strange and I feel the front legs are too knobby, even for a horse. The tails lost their elegance and remind me of the Koras, which is fine in Koras but no so much here. The body itself seems far to much like a squat rectangle. Its very short and fat, with no shape to it. Yes, the original Hikei didn't have much of a shape, but it just seems much more pronounced here.
I'm sure the artist worked hard on this, but I feel that it still has a long way to go.
Also, why are they so grey now?
