I think it's lovely that SOME people are able to get this gorgeous item for free, but what about the rest of us? Like Night pointed out, it's not about being impatient, it's about the "first wave" of people getting the advantage of having a rare and sought-after item that they can sell for tons of sp, while those of us who are in the "second wave" states or countries will sell for much less because the market will be saturated. I know the item isn't intended to be resold and the idea isn't to let people make profit but let's face it, those who don't horde for the wardrobe achievements/care about wearables will most likely sell to the highest bidder and make some serious sp. I think it's great that we have the opportunity to earn items for completing sponsor deals, but only if EVERYONE has the same opportunity.

You guys, the video was for Fiji, which is closest to the most Western coast of the US. From the advertiser's point of view, it would make sense to only show the video to certain places. Someone from New York is WAY less likely to fly all the way to Fiji than someone from Oregon. Now, as to why it's specific only to the US and not like...say, the Aussies, which are right next to Fiji...that I can't tell you.

I mean, yeah, obviously not very many of us can get it, but that's alright by me. I still appreciate the offer, even if I'm not in the right state to get it (I'm in GA, by the way.)

Advertisers are not likely to spend heaps of money on EVERYONE when they can spend less and target to people who are most likely to buy their "product" (in this case product being a travel destination). That's not to say that there aren't some people who would be swayed by the ad even if they're outside the demographic, like your parents, it just means they are getting the most bang for their buck. It's Marketing 101- ever watch the Superbowl? They'll never show ads targeted to women, but that does't mean women aren't watching the Superbowl.
