Beanbag Contest: Voting!

Hello designers, voters and avid bystanders! We've had a good pore over each of your entries for the contest and we were absolutely blown away by your ideas and designs.
We've made a selection of 6 entries that we feel fit in with the direction we would like to take on the Beanbag Shop NPC. This doesn't necessarily mean that any of the entries weren't deserving or wonderful - they just weren't the right fit for Subeta at this time.
That being said, we got a clear idea of what kinds of characters users feel are being underrepresented on site, and we will endeavor to bring many more of the ideas given in this competition into the site's future lore-making. We hear you!
But for now, it's time to VOTE. You have until 11:59PM on August 20th to cast your opinion. Which of these designs (including backstories) would make for your favorite new beanbag NPC?

Shanti is so adorable!

ahhh I'm so torn between Kanyin and Shanti! can we combine the two? :D (yes I want my cake and to eat it, too lol) Nice work, all!

Kanyin totally got my vote! I love dillemas so much and we totally need more pet-based NPCs!

I have to say one of my favorite shop keepers is Liz.

I love her companion squid so so much!!! I hope this new beanbag one keeps some sort of cute companion animal or has a cute collection of beanbags-animals.

Oh man it was VERY hard to choose between March and Shanti! I deal with chronic pain && am autistic so I related to both so heavily. Seeing the chewie stim in March's mouth totally solidified my vote, though. Great job to the artists on ALL of these-- I love them all!

Congrats on all the entries they are all beautifully done .
It is hard to choose just one since I like them all.
Awesome job everyone :).

I don't know why, but the statement above gives Google diversity drama vibes lol. Anyhow, I voted for the dillema, better luck next time to everyone. XD

I love that Subeta wants to show more diversity and I love the choices for the new shopkeeper. Its so hard to choose though!

omg I especially love both autistic characters (I'm autistic myself) and shanti, but I had to go for March because she stole my heart <3

@sentinel would they rotate out for a few hour shifts or just squeeze them all into one large space

YOU GUYS HAVE MADE THIS IMPOSSIBLE, I LOVE SO MANY OF THE FINALISTS THAT I CAN'T CHOOSE. slams hands on desk
I've managed to narrow it down to two, but I swear I'm going to have to flip a coin to pick one of them....

@SubetaTeam
I would like to point out something that should be quite obvious here. The 'voices' you are hearing via this contest are not representative of the entire site population because the only voices heard were those of people who participated in this contest (and most were probably artists since this was very much geared to be an art contest). This being said I did participate in this contest and hope that my voice was also 'heard,'
Basically, your sample size here does not represent the population as a whole and cannot really be used to draw any statistically significant (or meaningful) conclusions. In order to gather information that can be used to represent the voice of the people as a whole, you would need to randomly sample the users playing and ask opinions via that route. Or create a poll with high incentive so the majority of users will actually vote, thereby allowing you enough data points (feedback) from which to draw meaningful conclusions.
I do hope for a variety of new and unique characters and back stories though. I really like several of these entries!

Eventually went with Kanyin, but I'd be -ultra- happy if Shanti won, as well. I JUST LOVE KANYIN'S DESIGN SO MUCH. That eyepatch kills me, it's.../clenches fist So good...
Has the Trump era sucked all the joy and optimism out of the Subeta community. What an unhappy lot!

Voted for Kanyin, because my idea was a anthro pet too...sad he didn't make it, but I knew he wouldn't anyways. Love all these characters though

So happy to see a character with disabilities like meeeeee :) That artist made my day. Thank you <3

Argh it was really, really hard to choose because they're all such wonderful characters but I went for Shanti eventually. Well done to all the finalists though!

Kanyin and Shanti were my top two for sure, but it's hard to pass up a chubby, grumpy anthro in a sweater wants to poke it's ears

While I'm very sad that my entry was not chosen (I've been refreshing the news anxiously for weeks waiting for the finalists to be announced), I love the characters that were chosen and I will have a hard time voting for just one. I think it's wonderful that so many underrepresented characteristics are featured with these characters. My entry was a chubby ace girl, and I wish one of those features were represented, but I still love to see characters with different races, cultures, disabilities, etc.

I want all of them. This kills me to choose. ;-; Everyone of the options would make a fantastic NPC to be honest. Maybe the ones who don't win can be used in other ways? hopes

that was a SUPER HARD choice and I'm going to love whoever wins, these are all wonderful NPCs and I love everyone in this bar.
I picked Charlize in the end #islander4lyfe

well i can't pick because they're all so cute and well thought out so clearly the solution is that they all 6 run the shop together

Grants to the staff picks, they're all amazing and honestly any of them will be awesome to have as an NPC. I love all of these. In the end I liked Marc and Shanti best, but had to go with March. I'm on the autism spectrum myself -- in fact, my own entry was a young lady on the spectrum.
Subeta, I love how there's such an eagerness to create all kinds of representation. This is the most open, friendly, and welcoming site I've ever encountered. We need more of this in the world. Never change. <3

relentlessly clicks all of them, they're all pretty awesomesauce, what is Wrong with this voting page?
There's no rules on how to vote, so that means we don't have to pick just one, right?
