Quest-A-Thon!
The Quest-A-Thon has officially started! You have until 11:59pm on August 27th to complete 1,000,000 quests.
During this time, you will need to complete quests from the following quest givers to have them count: Carl, Cinthia, Mori or Nori, Alexander, Maleria, Pete, Quentin, Saggitarius, Sarah, and The Wizard. Just a reminder that regular users can complete 10 quests per quest giver and Gold Account users can complete 15 quests.
Sarah's quests now have a limit of 1,500,000 sP (and new users who signed up less than six months ago can do her quests regardless of sP!). Saggitarius requires you to have at least 1,500,000 sP to do his quests. Before this, the requirements for each quest didn't meet and were a bit on the lower end.
Just a reminder that if the goal is completed, everyone that has participated will receive 1 new pet slot, the forum title "Sir Quest A Lot", 5 Raffle Tickets, and 1 Referral point.

it would be really better if all quest we have are count, i no see the sense why we must finish so much quests' if u know meantime the condition to finish are not good... like i say; from last QAT to now we have to finish so much more and have just 1 day more, what u plan? just want bother the user? congratz, done...

@Bliss no it really doesn't. 92k behind. School starting plus a boss battle doesn't really help. It would be nice if battle and major drill quests counted. And they made them all weekend quests. That is the only way I see us meeting the goal.
we will never reach... to much we need, many users in holiday, kids have 6 weeks free from school, so they are in holidays too... is to much to do for this time and is unfair that just 1 quest caunt to get the prize and the other users play like wild to get the goal... is not fair...
@Mackenzi Do you mean to get the participation prizes (if the goal is hit)? If so, you only need to do one quest. Literally just one from any person over the course of the week and it's counted as participating. Of course, it's appreciated if you're able to do more than that, but that's all that's required to participate!
To clarify, to qualify do we have to do one of each quest on the same day, or can it be spread out over the quest-a-thon?
Well what a niffty thing to come back to. Haven't had time to pop in for a while. Good opportunity to finish cleaning out my old hoarding shop, haha. But first...the quests!
I'm really trying my best to get all my quests done every day (which is pretty hard with my adhd and therefore limited attention span).. really hope we're gonna make it even though we're (I think) running behind quite a bit atm..
Getting all my questing for the day done, gonna clean up my vault, stock and price my shop then hopefully get some gaming in.

@Jules, @tanhayeegrl - I don't know if they are, bug mentioned something about it (hopefully just means he'd hate for something like that to happen, not the one that handles that rule). Just better be safe than sorry if its even a possibility of freezing.

I don't have anyone on here that I know/trust enough to hold my points. It just doesn't seem fair that we can't do all we can do just because of the Sarah Quest limitation, perhaps she shouldn't even be one of the quests involved to begin with. Guess you'd have to take out Sagg quests as well, but really if you do all the other quests you usually end up with 1.5M profit in a day or 2.

Really sad there hasn't been a newsletter to announce this... it would bring in more users.
12k more quests to meet the daily goal and 2.5 hrs go go go!! I think battle quests and maybe even major drill should apply. That would encourage more across the site participation
about not being able to do sarah's quests, just fyi, you're literally complaining about having too much money
Without Sarah and Saggi, or a GA, there's 10 x 8 quest/day = 80/one user. If 100 users play per day (or even 50, or as low as 25), it can be done in no time. Did my part, waiting for tomorrow ;)

As long as you complete at least one(1) quest for anyone from the list, you get the reward when we make it. :) (it's a lot better to do as many quests as you can, but you do not have to do Sarah. I don't like the idea of trading all my sP to another user just to do an extra 15 quests a day either.)

last game we have 6 days to make 750,000 quests, now we have only 1 day more to finish 1 mio quests'... Sarah is open just for beginners, many users are in Vacation and in some countrys are school holidays.... heavy...

I also support adding battle quests to the list in the future. They're not the standard quest, sure. But it could encourage people who have never tried them before. Before very recently (this year) I didn't do battle quests at all. But I've found out how beneficial they are to training my pet and now have done over 1700 of them. :) I'm sure the site likes to spotlight features that not everyone uses to increase activity.
I'm so excited about this Quest-A-Thon! Though I sadly can't do Sarah's Quest, I still have way too much, and I honestly don't want to have to trust someone with my Sp. It's too much and I'd be a nervous wreck. Why can't Sarah be open to everyone for the Quest-A-Thon? I mean it'll help those of us who want to do her quests but can't. I also liked the idea of adding the battle quests to the mix :). I mean sure in the past e were able to complete the Quest-A-Thons, but 1mil quests? During School week? And some people may just only do 1 quest and be like "Okay, I'm done." I think adding the battle quests and opening Sarah to the public for this ques-a-thon would greatly help :)!

I'll do what I can to help others earn a pet slot :heart:.
I don't need a pet slot myself since I have 20 pets already but I will do all I can to help out the quest-a-thon ^_^.
I agree there is something lagging the site down this afternoon and taking pages like the training school a long time to load.
It can take up to 5 minutes or longer to pick up all 20 of my pets after they all finish school training.
Over half my quests are done and only 30 more to go for today.

So am I allowed to ask my sister to hold my SP? I know it isn't considered an exploit asking friends but I'm kinda scared to do that seeing as we share an ip adres.
Uh.......I'm not going to spend all my sp just to do extra quests so I can get a "free" pet slot. That kinda defeats the purpose. I had no idea they made that against the rules, though.

Not anymore, that exploit has become officially against the rules. So you either need to spend all of your banked money and get below 1.5mil or just not do Sarah's quests.
Besides, unless you're saving up for something specific, what's the point of holding onto massive amounts of sP? I'm sure you (and others) have tons of wishlist things you can blow it on.

Y'all, you can make a private forum group, drop your extra sp into the bank, do Sarah quests while you're "poor," then take your money back out to do the others.

okay i had a dream that instead of changing anything about the Sarah quests, there was just a short news post like 'We have decided we're not going to allow Sarah quests. Thank you.' and that was it, end of post.
Good that Saggi was finally updated, it made no sense that he is asking from the help of the rich and elite...when the rich and elite is 750 000 SP.

Chiming in, that not adding Battle Quests into any of the mixes is kind of unfair. We are grinding every day and it never counts :-( Soooo many clicks and they even took REs happening out of there :-(

Sorry, I thought you knew what her previous rules were. Sarah doesn't count sP in your shop till but counts it everywhere else on your account, including in trade lots.
You can put temporarily the sP into a group bank or give it to a friend to do her quests. Just make sure you can get it back!

To be honest, it's not my area so I can't tell you the official reasoning behind it, only what I know of it. That said: From what I understand, the forum group exploit was never intended or foreseen, so using it is really like exploiting a flaw in the code. It's not something that was supposed to be possible, so we ask that you not do it. Having other users hold your sP isn't "technically the same exploit" - We generally don't consider asking friends for help to be an "exploit". (Totally unrelated to quests, but another example would be how multiple accounts is not allowed, but other users holding pets for you is allowed.)

@MamaBear there was never an official news announcement but staff has said that forum group banks are currently not allowed period, so no one should be using that method right now (i asked if groups could use them when bug pinged me here Topic: Quest-A-Thon 2017 - WE DID IT ?, but we need to wait for amber's decision on that one. when a decision is made on that, a news post would probably be better than pings in some rando's discussion thread); trades between users are ok probably because it encourages cooperation / increases engagement, etc

After all, training and battling in general is a nice sp sink so it would be nice to encourage new people to take it up ^^

@Lukota @odduckOasis No, it's the same as in previous quest-a-thons where any participation qualifies you (even if it's only one quest).
I realize it says what the requirements are for each of the quests of Sarah and Sagg... so my question is if you don't qualify for one (like Sarah) than you don't have to do that one to qualify for a prize at the end, cuz... I'm not ditching all my sP just to do a quest lol. (And last I checked you can't just put it into your bank to hide it). lol.

One question then... are you requiring that all the quests listed there be done in order to qualify for the prizes at the end? Because I will not be able to do Sarah's if I /have/ to have less than 1.5 mil in order to them.... and if I have to do hers in order to complete all the quests to qualify, aren't you excluding a rather large number of player from being able to get prizes because they have too /much/ sP? I don't understand that... that doesn't seem fair at all. Or are Sarah and Sagg more... optional (for those too poor to do Sagg and those too rich to do Sarah) to qualify for the prizes?

I should add, I'm a member for: "Member For: 5 months, 1 day" and have more than 36 million sp... I should be able to do Sarah's quest now, right? but I can't... because of this error.
