Unbeknownst to most Subetans, there is a small tribe on one of Subeta's smaller islands that believes in sacrificing a small malticorn to ward off evil spirits and other nasties, like bloodred paralixes. This seems to be a sacrifice gone very, very wrong.
Do you feel like something is missing from your hair or perhaps you just want to be part of the new hair ribbon trend? No matter what the reason, the Accessory Bin has quite a selection of new ribbons for you! :D

It took forever, but we've finally gotten a backup of our items from the database backup system, and restored the 1 Month Gold Account Medals that were accidentally deleted from accounts.

First, a note. In alx's post he mentioned that if you purchased Cash Shop credits, to sMail me. I've edited his post to reflect that you should actually fill out a Ticket to get them :).
On that note, the time between getting a candy heart, being able to bite other users, and the number of shops being infected has been changed to make it easier to get those achievements.
Finally, for those of you affected by the rollback, you can Redeem 500 Cash Shop Credits as a sign of our appreciation. We are incredibly sorry for this, and we are taking steps to ensure that this does not happen again.

If you're just joining us, this morning we suffered a database crash, followed by an unlucky failure of both our slave server backup (which had a day-old copy of the database still on it) and our datacenter's backup system. On top of that, our slave server's copy of the database turned out to be corrupt, and took most of the day to repair.
However, we're now back up and running, albeit rolled back to sometime on Saturday. A couple of notes about the rollback:
If you don't have items that you purchased, don't worry... you'll still have the sP for them. It's like the purchase never happened.
If you bought cash shop credits over the weekend and don't have them, make a ticket about it and he can help you.
If you're missing achievements that you got over the weekend, especially those related to the event, don't worry... you will have plenty of time to earn them back.
If you applied for an artist position this weekend, please resubmit your application as these are stored in our database.
The circumstances of the failures this morning that necessitated a rollback were unique, but nevertheless it happened... sometimes lightning does strike twice in a row. We will be adding some additional redundancy to database system to ensure that failures like this don't leave us without a consistent copy of the database to rely on in the future.
So thank you everyone for your patience and understanding... I hope this is the last time we ever have to rollback data on Subeta.

It seems not all have been corrupted in this plague. Recently spectrum ruffie and chibi paralix survivors have been found! They seem to look better instead of worse, which is more than can be said for the rest of Subeta's population. :x

Everyone is gone. I am typing this up in the basement of the newsroom, in hopes that it gets out to warn anyone that has not yet contracted this rash. I seem to have small red areas on my hands. I am unsure if it is because of stress, or if I have fallen victim. The Doctors have left or fallen ill themselves, without identifying this disease or finding a cure. I... I don't know what is going to happen. I have glimpsed a few people in what I believe are the final stages. They are inhuman! I .. I'm going to end this here. I think I hear something. It would seem that Subeta's human citizens aren't the only ones affected by this ongoing plague. Questioned about the biting, a dark matter paralix responded, "I don't care as long as dem zombies don't be harassing me and stealing mah dark matters!"
Biting is now restricted to the Love Epidemic board.
I would just like to remind everyone that the Shrunken Head Pendant in the Millionaire Center will almost always deflect a zombie from biting you ;)!
It's hard to make it as a boy, fashion wise. That is why a few shops have decided to band together and release a nice male-themed set, Just Some Boy. The Sole Train, Bits and Bytes, the Clothing Rack, and the Grooming Parlour have all pitched in to help make it a better world for guy clothing.

The situation has gone from bad to worse. Citizens are now biting at random, and I've seen members of my own crew be attacked. I've been told that the Shrunken Head Pendant being handed out can prove to be very effective if worn when being assaulted by a zombie.
If that is not enough, the How to Punch a Zombie has been put in the Token Shop. (Look for my interview with the bestselling author next week!)
I fear for my own safety at this point, and think that everyone should find a secure place to ride this infection out. Be safe.
The Voodoo Gurus that live deep in the jungles outside of the Riverside Valley, have seen infections like this before.

Just an update to the wardrobe code -- it should work in Internet Explorer (6,7 and 8) now, without a problem.
However, Opera is still a problem, that probably won't be fixed anytime soon. The issue is something that we can't fix, and is a bug in the opera engine. It has been resolved in the newest version of Opera, that is still in Beta. We will keep you updated!

Overnight we had dozens of reports of residents being transferred directly to the hospital psychological ward.
Doctors for these hospitals have said that there is extremely isolated variations of the current flu virus going around, and these citizens have had pre-existing conditions that pushed them to this level.
The head doctor of the Subeta National Hospital right here in Centropolis issued this statement to channel 5 news.
Citizens, we are not in a crisis and there is no need to panic. We are laboring around the clock to find a cure to this virus, however we are still confident that it is not severely hazardous. If you are feeling under the weather, we advise taking the day off from work and resting.
The healer is now able to show if you are infected, and show you at the base level what you're infected with for those of you confused.

While the number of citizens infected is on the rise, doctors stick to the same script they gave us this morning.
This is a rather uncomfortable, new, strain of the everyday cold and although it does seem to be stronger than the usual flu bug, there is nothing to worry about...

Earlier today the top doctors of Subeta were distributing masks to help prevent the spread of the (unharmful!) flu making the rounds. They were quickly cleared out of all free masks, but are now selling a few in the Token Shop!
Candy Hearts have appeared on user profiles, make sure to grab a bunch! You never know what they will be good for.

The New Wardrobe has been moved over! Thank you everyone who helped testing the new wardrobe, it really helps a lot. You can find the new wardrobe here. Make sure to import all of your clothing and start making great new avatars ;).
Some of the exciting new features of the new wardrobe:
- Ability to search all of your clothes, or on one layer for an item.
- Save your outfits for later!
- Generate an avatar with items you don't have (using the "use clothes from" option) and use it when you've got the items!
- Edit your base features (eyes, mouth, nose) without deleting or removing your avatar.
For the time being, the Hair Salon has closed down for renovations. Nathaniel hopes to have his salon back up as soon as possible, he's grown pretty accustomed to the lifestyle his new popularity has afforded him ;).
Also, we have released 3 new eye styles, suspicious, narrowed and love.
The love in the air is getting thicker and thicker, enough to almost choke someone! The Holiday Shop is trying to keep up with this loveydovey season with a few new minions and plushies. :o
