Daily Support Goal!
I just put up a new page: the Daily Support Goal. It's the (very, very) long version of the little bar on the news page, and it's the honest account of what it costs to run Subeta in 2026 and how close to the line we actually are. If you've ever wondered how a site like this keeps the lights on, that page is me answering it. Please read it!
And to support the goals on the page, two updates went up alongside it. Cash Shop Collections has its own page now, so you can browse every monthly collection going back to 2006 and either buy the sealed set or pick the one item you want out of it. For this week only you can browse and choose from every week, when the sale is over it goes back to being just the ones released in the current month.
And Billboards got rebuilt with a banner maker, so you can design your very own drag and drop 480x90 ad right in the browser instead of uploading one. Please, make something weird and fun!
For one week, both are on sale. Every collection is open right now, all the way back to 2006 👨🦳, and all but June 2026 are 100 CSC each. Billboards are 75% off on every size. The sale ends Sunday, and the prices and the collection selection go back on their own.
If the goal page makes the case to you, the sale is the easy way to help but there are lots of other suggestions on the page. Bump your old bug reports (they're getting fixed!) and make those suggestion threads.

the dramatic journey of thinking you need to rebuild subeta from the ground up, then coming full circle to acceptance and updating the original with a renewed life force sounds exactly like something that would make an excellent, licensable, documentary mini series 😉
Also don't think I didn't see that Oracle comment at the bottom, because I bet you can't guess who still doesn't have a wiki page....

oooh, looks like it's time to buy csc and get all the collection item foods for my gourmet pet. I'm not the most elequent at expressing it, but like many other have said, I really appreciate seeing the inner workings too.

I've only been on here since 2008 and to be honest not that long ago I was wondering what in the world I would do without subeta. I'm so glad to hear that it will outlive me. Thank you Keith for keeping the lights on somehow and keeping us informed. We all have our hobbies, right? Mine are yarn and subeta. Thank you again and again. Maybe even one more time. :D

This last weeks were update after update after update, I was susprised, honest, about how much updates were being implemented, I didn't know it was because the kumos project was cancelled (WHAT?) I though it was because, in bulding kumos, a new way to upate the legacy site along the kumos one, on synergy has been found.

So, if you put the Street Team Plushies in the cash shop I will purchase csc to buy them, and I'm guessing I'm not the only one who would.

I love Subeta and glad I went subscription back in 2020? I think. You guys got me through the pandemic and I wanted to repay that a little.
This is all fantastic! Laying it all out like this allows us to see what's lacking and what we can do to help. It feels organised and streamlined this way! Lots to think about. I'm super hopeful the site can rise above this!!!

And I know that this is a time when many, many people are needing to tighten their own belts and finances, and I know that's why the graphs look the way they do even with user online counts being roughly the same. And it feels very very weird for me to be writing this!

I stumbled over and read the entire support goal page yesterday, because I am a geek like that and love graphs and explanations of why things are, and honestly just seeing all that data together made me go back to my own finance trackings and see if I could make room to get a subscription. I really appreciate all your and the team's work in all the times up and down and would like you to know that I really enjoy all the things that happen here :)
Anyway, I like seeing the breakdown and having a spotlight on it. It kind of made me feel slightly better to see it addressed because I'm embarrassed to say that I feel dread every time I see the goal not being met because this is my escape away from real life lmao. I give when I can and will continue whenever I get the chance. Thanks Keith and the rest of staff for keeping this site around for over two decades and hopefully many years to come💗
