The Serpenths, seeing the Aeries fussing over each other in the treetops around Subeta, grew jealous--just slightly jealous, they claim.
Without a word, they all slithered off into the night (much to the joy of the smaller species, who would finally have a bit of rest without fear of being eaten), leaving many owners confused as to the whereabouts of their beloved pets.
But of course, they've returned--and brought a surprise with them. No one is quite certain where those patterns came from, but they seem a bit attached.

I love the wings and body but I don't really like the hair so much it looks more curly then the old version.
While the wings do bother me, I don't mind it much. I like the revamp much better. It adds much needed detail and gives it a more frightening feel--the one a serpent needs.<br />

And the hair doesn't bother me much because I'm only interested in dynamically posed pets, so the hair will probably be rather different with those poses rather than the one displayed here XD;

I don't like the new one's color, or how the wings are kind of. . . lower than they were on the current version.

OH yes, I love that look, everything about it appeals to me, its very beautiful.

Wow. This must be one of my favorite revamps. I'm really impressed. The colours are just gorgeous. The pattern too. And it actually looks like a snake now! <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif" border="0" /> Can't wait to see more serpenth revamps and new colours.
The new Serpenth revamp is AMAZING. o__o -loves on DNA- Now it looks like an actual snake instead of a fat, flying worm. XDD Iloveit. The change to earthy colors and the boa patterns on its back are really, really cool... its special colors will have so much more potential now. o-o ♥ ...and the idea of the Graveyard being redrawn in this style is nothing less than thrilling. It would be freakin' awesome beyond words. XD

I like the improved style, but I don't quite agree with the revamp still. Mayhaps if the head were shaped more like a rattlesnake's it might look better? I figure a rattler's head is automatically more menacing and coy then... uh, what is that? A boa? o.0 Maybe python... but rattlesnakes just instantly have that "Don't mess with me" look.

perhaps more shaggy for the hair and less wavy, and a tiny bit less neck length between the wing to head segment...I really do love the arch in the neck, it just feels a little too long. I adore the patterns, I really love how they were done and the expression still holds a bit of intimidation while still being neutral enough to placate those that want a 'perky, happy serpenth'.
Finally!!! Much needed! I hated Serpenths other than the 2 special ones I have and Graveyard. This is cute, can't wait to see the others - maybe I'll need a GA for some more petslots? <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />
I like the pattern a lot as is, because it looks similar to real life snake patterns on their back. The belly looks absolutely gorgeous, and I just want to pet it. The shape of the head looks really good too, especially the expression.

hmmm... Hate to say it but other than the length of the new Serpenth and the pretty wing style, the new look doesn't appeal to me. The mane looks scraggly instead of foofy and the scutes on its underside look bumpy. Knowing what a RL snake feels like when you hold it, those scutes look hard and less flexible than a snake's. And the head... meh I liked the slightly dragonish head on the old style rather than the snakey one. Sorry DNA. e.e <br />

I agree. It looks great but the hair looks a bit funky and the wings are too bulky. I got a pet bird and I know that wings are much slimmer than that. These wings look kind of fat, in my opinion. Otherwise, great job <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_happy.gif" border="0" />
The current serpenth doesn't look menacing to me at all. XD I -will-, of course, give it a lot more of an intimidation factor for some of the special colors, but I wanted it to look more neutral for the commons.<br />

Oh, also--feel free to let me know what you think of the pattern. It's not quite set in stone yet--I can always lighten it or take it off, depending on what enough people think. It was more an..experiment to try and get the serpenth to not look quite so monotonous. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />
I like the new color and the added diamonds but the hair is too long and curly. By length, I don't mean how far down it's back it goes. I also agree that the wings are a tad big, but they're a huge improvement.<br />

Wow, this looks great. I like how the body is more elongated and snake-like. The old one seemed a bit... stubby. And I was always a bit confused about the arid colour being black, which it seemed to be the opposite to all the other arid pets... lol. <br />
The hair looks a bit odd, though... I think maybe it should taper off a little rather that abruptly ending halfway along the body, but eh.. not sure.

I really do like the redraw, though I liked the fact the Serpenth was white before. Eager for the other redraws though!

Very great. I actually like this revamp a lot. There could be a few retouches--and people have already pointed out most of them--but I love it a lot. :] Grand job, artist(s)!
