The Serpenths, seeing the Aeries fussing over each other in the treetops around Subeta, grew jealous--just slightly jealous, they claim.
Without a word, they all slithered off into the night (much to the joy of the smaller species, who would finally have a bit of rest without fear of being eaten), leaving many owners confused as to the whereabouts of their beloved pets.
But of course, they've returned--and brought a surprise with them. No one is quite certain where those patterns came from, but they seem a bit attached.

Who drew the newer version? I must hug them lol. The Serp. was my first pet. -Cuddles Sinister- His name not fits SSSSSSSSSo well.
While it is quite an improvement, there are a few things that could use a small touch-up. Like the angle of the neck, it looks, well... a bit awkward. In the 'it seems like I've cracked my neck' way.<br />

Second thing that stings in the eye a bit is the little tuft of hair that goes over the upper wing joint. If possible, hide it behind the wing?<br />

Other than that, I don't have much critique for this one. P: Now go an be amazed about it.

I think the eye is a bit poorly defined. It just might because it's a similar color to the body though, but it's hard to tell just where the eyeball is. The two random feathers under the wings are weird too. But on the whole, I like this. The serpenth was actually one of my favorite pets way back when Subeta was starting up.

Oh wow~ I do agree about the wings being a bit too bulky, but other than that it's beautiful. I can't wait to see how the other colors will turn out with this one!

Well, it looks much more like a snake now, that's for sure. But it seems too...feminine to me... ^^; I'm thinking it's because of the more-curly hair, but I dunno. o.0 I'm gonna vote for the new one anyway. :3

Eh, I think it'd look better if the hair still stuck upward. Now it looks... like a horse? Or like it stole hair from Shania Twain. XD

Oh, my! I love the additional detail, definitely a yes, although not so sure re the coloring (brown...? hmmm).

one word beautiful. The wings seem more bulky and almost furry, thou love the lose feathers at the base of the wings. Scales and snake like pattern along the back are lovely and gotta love the hissing tongue ^-^; Also the eyes look more deviant like the Serpenth has been up to something cruel and conniving. Cheers to the artist, now if only more work and colors would be given to the Illumis and all shall be well in the world.

Absolutely amazing job DNA! The only thing I see that might need a little tweaking is the size of the wings, but that has already been brought up. Thank you again for a beautiful revamp.
ohemgee.. that is amazing. I would totally get one of those. The only MINOR problem I have is that I would like it if the wings were perhaps a bit higher, a bit smaller, and if the near one was like... rotated backwards a bit.. it doesn't look like it matches the angle of the far one. Otherwise, I love it. _ The face is especially lovely.

I don't see how it's a completely different species - it's still serpentine, still has a mane of hair, still has wings.<br />

HOLYSNAPS. this re-draw is amazing! its completely gorgeous, and you managed to actually make me want a serpenth now! kudos to the artist- this is, wow. Amazing. Gorgeous. Simply divine.
Ahh, revamped design means revamped colors if it is accepted. I am torn. I dont know which one...

This looks incredible. I'm a little surprised about the coloring, but it does lend itself quite well once you get used to it. I can't wait to see a glacier version of this. Gorgeous work. ^-^
