Hi everyone. I'm glad that part is over.
If you're just joining us, this morning we suffered a database crash, followed by an unlucky failure of both our slave server backup (which had a day-old copy of the database still on it) and our datacenter's backup system. On top of that, our slave server's copy of the database turned out to be corrupt, and took most of the day to repair.
However, we're now back up and running, albeit rolled back to sometime on Saturday. A couple of notes about the rollback:
If you don't have items that you purchased, don't worry... you'll still have the sP for them. It's like the purchase never happened.
If you bought cash shop credits over the weekend and don't have them, make a ticket about it and he can help you.
If you're missing achievements that you got over the weekend, especially those related to the event, don't worry... you will have plenty of time to earn them back.
If you applied for an artist position this weekend, please resubmit your application as these are stored in our database.

The last time we had a rollback we were told something was put in place so it would never happen again. Well it has happened again.
Look, as much as I understand that everoyne has a different perspective, you have to understand that some people are just PISSED OFF. This is a place to comment, and if you don't like reading complaints or rants then ignore this part of the site. Yes, obviously there are worse things that can happen in life but that's hardly a basis for comparison. As a consumer, as a "customer", I'm pissed off and I want answers. I think that's completely valid, eh? I mean, if you go to McDonalds and there's a cockroach in your burger, wouldn't you say something about it? I don't think that anyone should be "blaming" anyone else, but to express anger or outrage is natural when you're frustrated. I'm not going to pretend that I'm not mad, or try to kiss ass. Respect that, just as I respect the fact that some people think I'm an idiot.

I lost a hazels morning bell dollie, a gallery I made full of cool stuff, half my wishlist, half my money, a chibi celinox and 363 of my wizard tokens and I'm super pi$$ed off. It sucks.

it's ridiculous how much people are over reacting because of this! I think it's fair to say we probably lost some stuff! I lost 2 pets and like 20 items and some sPs but they aren't impossible to get back. Thanks for getting the site back up! Must of been a heck of a Monday for the staff!

It's a roll back, not a 'we pick and choose which information to put back'. This is what you had Saturday, so I don't get how people are saying they're missing the items and the sp. They didn't manually sit there and retract your purchases they just put the site back to Saturday...and they didn't do it to tick you off, the information is gone. I know ranting releases tension but if you're complaining about wasted time aren't you wasting more time?
I think staff empathizing and listening to their users so much bites them in the ass during situations like this...people get an inch and take a mile. This DOES happen at other sites so I DO think -some- people are overreacting. Maybe it wouldn't happen at the almighty Neo but if it did they wouldn't give a damn, they wouldn't even make a news post explaining it.
Maybe I'm too optimistic or something...I always feel grateful that they sit here and tell us about this stuff, they listen to us, and even though they can't sit here and fix everyone's individual problem they usually try to do something even if it's just tacking a couple days to GAs, shortening time between hearts/bites or whatever.

But the thing that really sucks for me is that I spent all morning this morning before the crash and all yesterday morning pricing items in my shop. It kinda sucks to have to price them all again. By hand =)

I lost 3 skitter shop items my friend got for me. They are not in my gallery ( where they were put before the break, they are not in my inventory, nor did my friend have them in her inventory or here sp credited back to her. I'm glad the game is working but it appears that the "rollback" did not correctly set back the time. If it did my friend would either have the items she bought or her sp.
I do appreciate everything the staff has done, but I must caution in reply to both bashers and anti-bashers here that the reality is that Subeta will be losing users. I don't know how significant a number yet... but a great deal.

What if we bought stuff from user shops? I bought more than 2mil worth of clothes yesterday and the day before, and those are gone and I haven't gotten the money back. D;
And time quick fox. =) But really, I dont think we should worry too much. The site will come up with some clever way to make us happy again. That is why subeta is so great.
Aw. I had a feeling something was wrong when I looked in my inventory and saw items that should have been fragged or sent to the vault already. I really can't remember what items I'd added into my wardrobe since yesterday so I could buy and add them again... I think I'd be more upset if I actually remembered what I had gained since Saturday XD (bad memory = less pain)
Also. A day may not mean much to some people, but for others a lot can happen in a day on this site. I'm also annoyed by the rollback, but it will pass. @Quickfox I think more people are whining about the time they lost. You can't give back time. A lot of us (including me) were sitting here all Saturday and Sunday working on the achievements among other things, to have it all taken away from us. Basically it's like we sat here all weekend staring at a blank screen.
Thank you Alx for keepin' us informed, and for gettin' it back up after we've all played too much with it!! I was just thinkin' about all I did sun on here, and am impressed that I did so much!! lol

I really appreciate all of the work that the staff does, but... this rollback is really something awful. I lost a lot of traded sp, a lot of items, and 10 bucks in the cash shop, not to mention my lamouracillin to cure myself and a ton of hard work put into my achievements and whatnot.
I'm just really angry and really disappointed, because I have to figure out all of my purchases and everything all over again, when I really don't have all the time in the world to do it...

I was online almost all day yesterday... Made quite a bit, and also bought quite a bit.... And now I have to go through my whole wardrobe AGAIN... It's a BUSINESS, whether they like to acknowledge it as such or not, and they have a responsibility to keep their "customers" happy, whether the crash was their fault or not. They can't expect everyone to just get over it.
