If you're just joining us, this morning we suffered a database crash, followed by an unlucky failure of both our slave server backup (which had a day-old copy of the database still on it) and our datacenter's backup system. On top of that, our slave server's copy of the database turned out to be corrupt, and took most of the day to repair.
However, we're now back up and running, albeit rolled back to sometime on Saturday. A couple of notes about the rollback:
If you don't have items that you purchased, don't worry... you'll still have the sP for them. It's like the purchase never happened.
If you bought cash shop credits over the weekend and don't have them, make a ticket about it and he can help you.
If you're missing achievements that you got over the weekend, especially those related to the event, don't worry... you will have plenty of time to earn them back.
If you applied for an artist position this weekend, please resubmit your application as these are stored in our database.

And also, yes, I remember the days when the site crashed every 5 minutes for an hour, and to get through 10 minutes without some problem was a MIRACLE. The site is MUCHMUCHMUCH more stable now, so thank you subetastaff for fixing many problems and making the site better and faster than it has ever been.

i appreciate that you all worked hard to get the site back up, Subeta staff...and i loooove this site....now do not get mad at me or freeze me for this but i have to say this...i am an adult player, am attending university online, suffer from severe panic disorder, am stressed out to the max, and have real life pets to take care of...Subeta is a relaxing place for me...i spent hours and alot of my free time to earn those achievements that are now gone as well as items from the zombie shop that i waiting an hour or more to buy that are now gone...i even have them checkmarked on this help site subetahq of the items that i purchased...i know that they are missing 'cause of the lowered amount in the total of my gallery items on here...this week and next week i am busy with getting ready for and then taking a final exam for my university course so i do not have the time to try and get the achievements all over again...i was close to getting the 1,500,000 zombie den achievement and now i am down to like 525,000 out of 1,000,000 to getting the 1,000,000 zombie den achievement...that is frustrating...i not even going to bother...it just not worth it...if the database crashes again then it will happen again so why bother...i honestly cannot even believe it all...i still love coming and playing on Subeta but spending alot of energy and time on achievements i am not doing anymore after this thing happened...i just had a thing happened like this with having to redo a whole long process of first step of a lab assignment in a university course 'cause of lab client program issues and after that well anything else that happens now i am like "thats it i've had it"...ok ~breathes out~ i done with my venting...thanks for at least bringing the site back up...i thought the site had shut down from the page i got all day and nite ~hugggz the Staff to make up for my venting~

I think what some people don't understand is that there IS NO magical button to fix what is wrong. When something crashes randomly, they have to figure out WHAT is wrong, not JUST that something is wrong. They have to figure out WHY it's crashing, and HOW to fix it. They can't just push a button to fix everything.

Blush has a funny and good point. When I joined 2 years ago actually finishing a Wiz quest in under 5 minutes was a fucking miracle! XD

I snagged Sewn Together out of the donation corner-patted myself on the back-and now it is gone...among other things. Oh well.
I had almost ALL the heart hair clips, and restocked a whole bunch of other holiday items, along with SuB items :/. Not very happy about it at all, but you gotta do what you gotta do, I guess. :{

Not gonna lie, this kind of makes me angry. I'm totally not blaming anyone, this just extremely disappoints me. I got SO many achievements in the past 2 days, and they are all negated. All of my candy heart achievements and spreading the virus, plus all of the cumulative spending on items at the Zombie Den and then the Amoricide- totally somewhere around 6 million- I no longer have the achievements or the sP. I'm not mad at anybody because I realize it's no one's fault, but I'm really disappointed that I lost all that money. Honestly though, I've been on Subeta long enough to have seen this happen time and time again. Site crashes, downtime results, occasional rollback, and pissed users. I don't spend a dime here, so I have no right to complain and have to suck up and deal. Unless you've bought CSC before, you really don't have a right to complain, you either get over it or leave. Even if you have bought CSC, your money's been put to some good use, the stability is TONS better than when I first joined (the thrills of watching subeta die every 10 minutes, wooo!)

Wow - so I was totally smart to spend Valentine's weekend with my boyfriend instead of with the computer. I managed to lose absolutely nothing in the rollback.

The whole site could have exploded and EVERYTHING was lost, hence we all have to re-sign-up? I'm trying to think positive, but i'm just as pissed that my whole weekend was erased. I sat on my ass all weekend to get a bunch of the achievements to have it all erased and that is VERY annoying. I have no motivation to get them all again.

what some people don't seem to understand is that some of us had a 3 day weekend and we spend a LOT of hours on here working on achievements and stuff...those hours we will never get back...so do NOT tell me to suck it up...I work very hard in real life and come here to relax ...this is NOT relaxing

Yes, it's "just a game," but it's also REAL time lost that cannot be given back to us no matter what "incentives" are given to us to make up for it.

dang it.....all i can say is this sucks!!!! I stayed up very late last night collecting hearts to complete the next achievement and now you say its like it never happened......I was 2 away from the 25 Lamouracillin....now i'm back to 10....I don't have the excitement to even start again.....or even the will.........

Excuse me, I'm having an issue here. I gave my best friend a gift of 1000 tokens, and neither of us have them after the roll back.
Guys, THEY DIDN'T CAUSE THE COMPUTERS TO CRASH. I myself lost millions and millions, and $20 in CSC, but I'm not complaining, because it was not the Subeta Team's fault. Sheesh. They didn't want this to happen any more than we did. They probably feel terrible about it and are probably going to be working their asses off for days to fix it. How about a little gratitude instead of all of these complaints?

I'm down around 2 mil, I've lost tokens, I've lost entries for a contest I'm holding, I've lost items, and prizes I've sent out.. But I'm not complaining. They're doing the best they can and I'm glad the site is back up.

Im not angry enough to quit subeta but it makes me really upset that I could make back all the money I had spent over the holidays by selling a vending item worth more than I have ever made, ever. Im just upset that this could all happen. I mean, it could have happened like a week ago and i wouldnt be missing anything. I just came back!

I realize that this was an unfortunate accident and I\'m sure staff feels very badly about it, since nothing can be done to bring back all the hard work that people put in this weekend. It couldn\'t have happened at a much worse time, as gaining all the achievements was a royal PITA, although a lot of fun at the same time. I hope staff can realize that many people cannot put in the time that they did over the weekend to re-coop what they accomplished, so here are few suggestions to help make it up.

- Make biting easier - less time
- Make Hearts every 5 min. instead of Random
- Change Skitters to every Half hour
- Change MC to every 6 hours for a couple of days.
- Restock the Token Shop - the Dried Rose no longer exists
- Increase Random Events for the week.
- Add more time to GAs.
