Well, they\'re finally here! Holy Oracle there were a lot of entries. I actually had to work! At least some of you had the foresight to give me a good chuckle. Or maybe that was just accidental. Either way, good work, everyone that entered!



We\'ve narrowed the finalists down, and have 6 finalists for each genre. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the R&B/Soul genre as there were so few entries, entrants from that category were moved into the \'Other\' category to be judged. (I guess Subeta has no soul! Or rhythm. I\'m sure we have plenty of Blues)



Now, to find our Grand Champion, the bands are going to need some support. This is where you guys come in! Have a look through our Finalist Showdown and pick your favourite band, the one you want to support right to the bitter end. That\'s the band you\'re going to be battling for! And how do you battle, I hear you ask in wonder? Well, you need to play Street Team of course! Woah! Much game! Very battle!



For now, scores can\'t be sent - we want to give you a chance to pick out your favorite bands and get familiar with the game for a few hours first. But starting from around noon tomorrow you will be able to start sending scores - and each score sent will go towards your chosen bands total! Users can send 3 scores per day - or 4 if they have a Gold Account. VIP users\' scores count for 25% extra towards their total! (So, a score of 20 will give you 25 points!)



Now, prizes. There are going to be a variety - but seeing as you guys continually impress us with your skills, we haven\'t yet decided exactly how they\'re going to be distributed. There will likely be prize(s) for the winner of each genre, and then the grand champion will be rewarded - along with all the people that supported the grand champions band. There will also separately be prizes for users that submit the highest scores, so even if you are in a team that maybe aren\'t doing so well - you can still work hard and achieve something on your own! The Grand Champion band will get to work with us on designing some items, so all prizes will be awarded after Peka-Boo has come to an end. Score-sending will end on Monday 28th, again around about noon so that we can tally up the scores and announce the winners in the evening!



Every one of you could be instrumental in getting a band to victory. So pick who you want to support, and stand by them! Yeesh, that was a lot of information. I\'m going back to my tent.

If you'd purchased any of the custom wearable prize items (not the winning custom wearable items), you'll need to repurchase them, as Lindsay apparently wasn't doing her job properly before, and wasn't taking anyone's CSC. And then she was taking SP instead. You had one job, Lindsay.

Hey! Just wanted to update you guys that the prizes for the custom wearable competition have been given out!

Now, we decided to make most of these prizes available to purchase in the Couture tab of the Fashion Yurts - that\'s the one that costs cash shop credits! This way, the prize winners get something good that will keep its value, and regular users that like to collect a variety of things get a chance to purchase these items if they like - albeit at a cost! We felt this was the best, or at least fairest, way to do things, seeing as those that didn\'t enter didn\'t get to see what the exact prizes would be!

It seems like all this storm energy has made its way into some pets, too! The storm hipottu and storm archan have come to join this festival party! I wonder if the hipottu was drawn to the Hipottu Spice truck? Maybe it saw their truck mascot and thought it was a new friend! Oh goodness, but what is the archan doing here? I hope it stays away from Oatmeal!

Anyway, just wanted to stop by and remind you that you need to have your Battle of the Bands submissions in in just over an hour and 30 minutes time! If you\'re not in a band, don\'t worry too much (Oatmeal has enough on his plate!) - you can still participate in the finals by supporting your favourite band. Or booing at all the other bands. Although Lindsay might come along and fireman\'s lift you out of Peka-Boo altogether - have you seen that girl\'s abs?

Oh yes, speaking of Lindsay, she told me to let you know that voting for the Custom Wearable Contest will end tomorrow, and the winning items will be released into the Fashion Yurts on Tuesday! How delightfully charming. Good luck to all those participating, I suppose. Now can somebody in this VIP tent rub my feet?

The Cash Shop Loyalty Card is the latest feature to reward users for their continued support. For every 1000 credits you purchase through Paypal, PBC/UGC, or Stripe, you'll receive a shiny new stamp on it. There are five very special stamps you can earn as you make your way through the card, each with a reward item! There's even another that will earn you an elusive forum title.

Your purchases towards each stamp don't have to be made all at once! As your ongoing total reaches a level, you'll receive your next stamp. There will be new cards released from time to time - complete with new stamps and prizes!



The Loyalty Card considers all CSC purchases from Thursday, 17 July, onward as qualifying purchases.

In the spirit of moving forward with the Loyalty Cards, Bobblehead Collections will retire in one week. Cash Shop purchases made after Sunday, 27 July, will no longer come with a complimentary bobblehead. We hope you’ve had a chance to collect them all!

A new achievement has been added for having 5 of your wishes granted. This will be awarded after the event, but that data has been logged and your previous wishes granted will count towards this. A prize will be added to the achievement before the event is over!

Well good afternoon, festival goers! We sure do hope you’re enjoying the first full day of the Peka-Boo Festival! We’ve had a chance to grab a few hours of sleep, and we’re ready to celebrate with some new things for you to check out while you’re here.

First off, we are happy to announce that the Fashion Yurts are now open for business! Please come in and check out the very latest in festival fashion from your favorite designers. It took everything in my power not to snatch up their entire inventory immediately!



Also, keep your eye out for helpful volunteers who will be floating around, passing out some useful items for your sunburnt cheeks and parched lips. Consider them free gifts from us to keep you healthy and happy all throughout Peka-Boo.

Erm…speaking of keeping healthy, we’ve noticed litter beginning to accumulate on the festival grounds. This is so unfortunate! If you see any in your path, would you mind picking it up and holding onto it? We’ll be meeting later in order to try and determine how to best dispose of the mess. Stay tuned!

Finally, while we’re overjoyed with the kindness and generosity we’ve seen displayed at the The Wishing Shrub, we’ve had some of you approach us and admit that you may have made a wish that you now regret. Therefore, we’ve tweaked the rules a bit to allow you to cancel your wish if it has not been claimed after 2 hours. Wishes should start to be able to be cancelled around 5:00 pm today, if you’re interested in giving it another shot. We have also made it so you can only claim one wish at a time – this is all about spreading the love, right? – and so that if you grant a wish, but aren't able to decide on your own wish that day, your wish will still be available to be made the next day – cool, right?

Gracious, it's been a long day for us behind the scenes here at the Peka-Boo Festival! Who knew so many things could go wrong? First the Taco Truck broke down in the middle of nowhere (overheating! They should not have been testing their spicy recipes on the road in the burning sunshine!) and then we caught a green haired man trying to sneak into the grounds with a bag full of graffiti paint and a portable pizza oven - we're not quite sure what he was planning to do with it, but we've confiscated the paint and sent him on his way!



So we're off to a smidgen of a delayed start, but we have most everything in place now! You've been doing great with your Battle of the Bands submissions - keep them coming! Remember submissions will close at 11:59pm on Sunday July 20th! I'm sure you've all been working up an appetite with that frenzied instrument playing. Luckily our food trucks will be serving all night, and you can pay a visit to Oatmeal, the new resident golden goat, who will help you with all your worries. Or even stop by The Wishing Shrub, where you can grant wishes as well as make some of your own.

The Fashion Yurts will be open tomorrow, I've had a preview of some of the things inside and they're just darling - definitely worth the wait! There are some VIP tickets up for sale, but they are only for the people that thanked me. You hear that, rude people? These tickets are exclusively for my awesome friends that know how to appreciate a local celebrity taking valuable time out of their very important day.



You\'re really going to wish you thanked me, now, because the very last of the VIP Tickets are going on sale tomorrow July 16th at 5:45am. Remember to wear your ticket around your wrist at all times if you want to hang in the VIP room; I hear they\'re giving out some kind of prize for visiting the VIP Lounge every day, and if you aren\'t all about free stuff then I don\'t really know what you\'re doing with your life.



None of you other ungrateful people better try to buy them or I am going to mail a fart in a jar to every single one of you.

While I\'m doing news posts, I may as well let you know that a few musically themed costume trunks are back in the Cash Shop. Yeah, that\'s right, I know about news posts and the cash shop, and yet I deliver pizza for sP. It\'s a constantly moving fourth wall we\'ve got here, stay tuned.

Also I\'ve now been banned from Peka-boo because of some BS about giving away their "secret information" and "ruining the surprise" and "urinating in public". That means that I obviously won\'t be able to win the Battle of the Bands, so maybe you guys can enjoy some of the new instruments in the Music Shop for me? The grand piano got a revamp, and now has a white counterpart. Also, there\'s a lyre now for any nerds that are prepping for RenFaire.

The time is just flying by in the run up to Peka-Boo, and people everywhere are getting dressed for the occasion! The spectrum serpenth has joined in and jazzed up its scales and feathers to be a part of the festival action, and brought along the new blacklight serpenth to party with it!

Well, this has been splendid day of band-making so far. It did occur to me that I should be cashing in on som…I mean, that this would be a great opportunity to provide people with the means to further their band's success. I’ve just had a shipment of new instruments into the store - just remember, you break it, you buy it. They’re very high quality, you know. Only the best in my Music Shop.

Speaking of high quality, a few of our old instruments that maybe were lacking in shine have been updated.

And lastly, a large number of instruments have now been made wearable, so you can carry around your harp with you wherever you go. Joyous news. Maybe this will help you with your Battle of the Bands submissions? I’ve heard some very interesting band concepts flying about. Personally, you guys need all the help you can get.

Good day, patrons of \'Peka-Boo\'. How awfully whimsical a festival name. Have you all managed to stop fighting over tickets yet? Don\'t fret, there\'s still plenty of time left before the festival begins and there are dozens more things to fight over. (Ha! Fret. Frets are a part of stringed instruments, and I am an expert violinist. Good show, me.)

Anyway, what I\'m here to tell you about today is the Battle of the Bands. I\'ve been put in charge of it, although I personally wanted to use the festival as a platform to promote my own classical band, Goodbye Virelai, but Rosemary was insistent it should be all new music, so here we are. What SHE is looking for is for our ticket-holders to pick a music genre and form a band together (or vice versa). You need to give us a good idea of what your band is all about, come up with as great a band name as you can manage (obviously my own is a great example of excellent taste), and the kind of stage apparel that\'s going to set you apart. In this unique and diverse music world we live in. Good luck to those in the pop genre, ha.

We\'ve gone out of our way and created a special submissions form for you to get your bands together, heavens knows you probably couldn\'t organize a basket of cats without some help, and if you\'re shy about approaching people you can choose to be assigned to a random (public) band, or you can just stay by the food trucks, eating your feelings. We\'ve also opened up a special forum for everyone to discuss everything in, (well, everything band related, please try to refrain from discussing what happened on last night\'s episode of Subeta\'s Got Talent), as well as form bands, ask for band members or help in styling the perfect outfit. Or most appropriate outfit. Or funniest outfit, I do sometimes enjoy a non-judgmental laugh. Oh, and we\'ll put up an FAQ in there once we\'ve had some...FAQs. Submissions for Battle of the Bands will close at midnight on Sunday 20th July - I imagine Rosemary will handle that, I\'ll be in the VIP lounge away from the people that are without access to the good showers. At that point, our judges will go through the bands, and pick out some finalists from each music category to begin the second phase of battling on Wednesday 23rd July. These will be judged by festival-goers themselves, with the winners of each music genre and the grand festival champion being announced on the 27th.

Have you been itching to have your wearable on site as a real official Subeta item? Applications are now open for those wishing to compete and display their fashion design skills during the upcoming Peka-Boo festival! Winners will have their item released as an official piece of Subeta art, and sold alongside our other official items in the Peka-Boo Fashion stalls in the SP currency.



Due to space limitations, you may submit a maximum of three items per user that will be shown before a panel of judges behind the scenes - including well known fashion icon Esmerelda, the designers Delish, Camilo, and more! Five winners will be chosen by our judges, but we are leaving the 6th winner up to you! The fan favorite of the competition will also be released as an official item!



You have until 1pm on the 16th of July to get your items submitted. At that point, we\'ll put up a gallery of every item that has been approved as being up to Subeta standards in order for you guys to pick your favorite. The item that gets the most votes will be the 6th item put into Peka-Boo\'s stalls.

The spectrum and blacklight feli sure do seem excited about the upcoming Peka-Boo festival! What? You mean they\'ve always been this excited? How exhausting! Somebody take away this kitty\'s caffeine.

Oh, hey, how are you? Oh, I'm okay, still doing the pizza thing, thanks for asking. I've been delivering to a ton of celebrities, too, I bet you're jealous. No, really! Don't let my normally... uh puckish nature fool you, because I am totally serious right now.



Apparently, some of my pizza flavors are really on trend right now, even though I basically picked the ingredients by spilling scrabble tiles. Who knew quinoa, goat cheese, and fig would be a thing!? Just the other day, in fact, I was delivering one of my "signature gourmet artisan" pizzas to Miss Kelly* in Riverside when I happened to overhear some interesting tidbits about the VIP Passes for that Peka-Boo Music Festival they are putting on.



It seems like things are finally starting to turn up for ol' Elwood, and we're all friends, right? And what kind of friend would I be if I didn't leak private information that I came by through illegitimate means so my fellow friends could, say, buy up certain exclusive VIP Passes and falsely profit from them?



My point is, they're going to release more VIP Passes and I am going to tell you when, if I'm able. Because friendship. For example, my best friends in the whole world, they've got a few in stock right at this very moment. As a show of good faith, I heard that on July 8th, 150 will be released at 11:15pm. Better get your tents set up.

Hello, friends! It\'s good to be speaking with y\'all again. If you\'ve been living under a rock and not seen any of my movies or weren\'t here for the very special cruise ship tour we took a few summers ago, I\'m Rosemary Kelly, and I\'m the Ambassador for Veta Lake! Have you been there lately? So full of beautiful trees and sparkling water, a darling little farmers market and a real nice brewery. And it\'s home to one of my favourite shops, run by my good friend Johannes, The Music Shop! He really should come up with a cuter name for his business.



Actually, speaking of music, did y\'all know that it\'s my true secret indulgence? I know I\'m a famous actress and spend most of my time in front of a camera, but I do have a passion for hearing all kinds of music when I\'m relaxing. And that\'s why I\'ve teamed up with a great group of people in order to bring my passion to life in the greatest way. A music festival!







Peka-Boo! That\'s what I\'m calling it. There was this old empty park up by that gorgeous Peka Glade just sitting there, asking to be enjoyed. How could I refuse such a kind request? Now I wish I could just invite y\'all in for free, but then we\'d end up with this big ol\' messy park at the end and nothing to show for it. So our dear Allard (you probably know him as The Wizard!) has kindly offered to whip us up a little magical cleanup, just for a few of his tokens!

So, regular tickets for Peka-Boo are 1000 tokens each, in the Token Shop now! I believe there should be enough released over the next week for everyone, but if you want a VIP ticket, which\'ll give you a few special items in addition to your admission, they\'re 250csc in the Cash Shop. Those tickets are limited in number and capped at 2 per person - not everyone can be a VIP! They\'re gonna be released a few at a time for people who aren\'t around right now, and I hear some are gonna be released in a few competitions so keep your eyes peeled!

Just a reminder, you\'re gonna need to have your ticket on you to get in when the festival opens, or to join in any festival related activities. And over the next week as preparations are being made, you\'ll hear a few more details about Peka-Boo! I hope to see y\'all there on the 17th!
