After dealing with Blighttooth, you decide to regroup with the Mage and the others. Perhaps he’s remembered something else for his possession. The malevolent being seemed to know exactly who they were going to target next. Even if you could figure it out, would you be able to stop them in time?

As you ponder all the things you’ve learned over the year, trying to think of some clue that would tie everything together, a small black orb floats out from behind a tree.

Dark matter!

More orbs materialize, joining the first and bobbing lazily at you. You sprint back towards the Mage’s hut, hearing distant shouts from that direction. As the path clears and you leave the forest, you spot the reason for all the commotion. The all-too-familiar face of the dark goddess herself gazes back at you and smirks. Her eyes glow strangely, like so many others before her. She’s been possessed!

What a fun new free gift!

The Lumineve Regular 2021 achievement has been retired. The Melody Regular 2021 achievement has a prize set, now! A brand new HA border.

Remember you only need to visit Melody 29 days this year to get the Melody Regular 2021 achievement instead of all 31. It will still retire on January 1st!

The Job Agency has another new industry for your pet to work in! Head over and apply if your pet is interested in the Postal Service!

These are the possible ranks for this industry: Envelope Sealer, Barcode Data Converter, Mail Sorter, Package Handler, Window Service Clerk, Lost and Found Postal Manager, Mail Carrier, Postal Service Attorney, Postal Inspector, and Postmaster General!

Between working on the servers and tweaking tree code, we're just finishing up the last few touches on Mysterious Melody but should have it ready soon! (Some NPCs were interested in joining the fun and we had to coordinate shipping across Subeta, maybe a postal service job for pets would be in order to help). We realize the event is starting late, but it will be extended to help make the new year merry.

We're excited for the surprises in store, but we won't blame anyone if you take a sneak peak at the item directory with spoilers turned on to see what the fairies have dragged in so far. :p

Just a reminder that the first day of Winter is December 21. We will be changing over the Seasonal Quest Shop and Millionaire Center to reflect this, so get your autumn items while you can!

We’ve changed the special item for our Subscription Quester, Councilor, and Goddess plans. We will be changing this special item slot every month.

We realize there've been some issues with trees displaying, and are trying an update to clear out the dead pine needles, er, cache. The site and tree displaying may be a little slow for a few minutes, but please give viewing and decorating them another try!

Please post follow-up to this P&B thread if you can to keep info more centralized for troubleshooting, but I am also leaving comments open specifically for tree stuff. Thank you!

Our sincerest apologies for not posting about this in the original post or on the news. The time it was to end was mentioned on the forums, but we dropped the ball on posting it on the news! If you made a purchase in a CW shop between 8 PM Subeta time and 10 PM Subeta time, please submit a ticket to have the difference reimbursed to you! Any purchases made after 10 PM will not have the difference reimbursed to them.

The CW Pawn Shop will open tomorrow in the late morning/early afternoon tomorrow and will close at 11:59 PM Subeta time on Tuesday the 21st!

Mysterious Melody has been a Subeta tradition for years, and we're hoping to present it to you later this week. It is going to be the usual fun of being able to provide anonymous cheer, but we're also adding some new features including achievements. We've aimed them at a variety of styles, so there should be something for you whether you've saved up some big things to really make someone's day or if you chose lots of pieces for a carefully themed array of gifts.

We wanted to get this out earlier, but December's been a bit of a blustery month. The server outage from December 3rd is still an issue and, while we're working around it, the back-up configuration is less robust than we (and you) would like. Between that and other Lumi matters such as trees, testing for Mysterious Melody has taken longer than expected but we are looking forward to wrapping that up and putting it out this week. The Custom Wearable Sale is HERE!

Due to the downtime last week, we’ve officially gone ahead and updated the Lumineve Regular 2021 and Melody Regular 2021 achievements requirements. So if you’ve missed a day or two of visiting Melody’s Cottage, you’re still in the running for these achievements. <3

:star: For the Lumineve Regular 2021 achievement, instead of needing to visit Melody the first 25 days of December you’ll only need to visit 23 days. This achievement will still retire first thing on December 26!

Due to the site downtime last week, we have decided to give everyone a little extra time to prepare for the big CW Sale! The custom wearable sale will now begin this Sunday, December 12th. It will run through Thursday, December 16th. The CW Pawn Shop will still be opening up on Friday, December 17th and remain open for the weekend.

The sale will start early Sunday afternoon. You have until 8 AM on Sunday to get your CWs in the queue to guarantee they'll be reviewed in time for the sale!

For those asking about Melody achievements, we will have more information this week. I don’t want to extend something by a day when it might need just another! Just know we will simply require less days for the achievement but still retire on the 25th and 31st, so instead of needing all 25 days you might only need 24 or 23. Again, we’ll have more information soon!

You should be able to see your avatars now! Other wardrobe and New Subeta features should also be working, such as submitting CWs.

Autopricer has also been reset, so please give it another try if you already used it today. If you used the super autopricer and got errors today or within the last few days, please file a ticket for CSC reimbursement and include all dates you need handled.

Tree display may still be having issues, we are working on that still. We are also monitoring and investigating and will update as we get it, stay tuned for more news!

Hello, Subeta!

Last night Subeta's servers had a severe outage, bringing the site down for about two hours. Keith brought back-up servers online, but several features are still being impacted. The reason for the outage is still under investigation and, while a fix is being worked on, there may still be disruptions to features such as wardrobe, access to forums, and autopricing.

Subeta was one of the earlier pet sites and continues to provide fun and content, integrating old features and adding new ones, but this means that problem-solving for its unusual server load and output can take time. We will be posting more information on #siteupdate as we get it, and those posts can be read through the Staff Forum Posts on the sidebar even if you're unable to log into the forums. The status page is also being updated!

This was not put in as a news post earlier because we wanted to have more information for y'all if at all possible, but we're open to feedback on whether that works. Please let us know what you'd prefer in the comments!

It’s the jolliest time of the year, didn’t you know? Let’s unpack just what you can do during Luminaire.

Each day throughout the month, Melody will be giving out new treats. There are two achievements regarding Melody’s Cottage. If you visit every day through the 25th, you’ll receive an Essence of Melody, which is essential to making a nostalgic pet! If you make it every day of December, you’ll get the Melody Regular 2021 achievement. We haven’t added an item prize yet, but there will be one before the month finishes.

For those worried about old Melody items they still need, we will be re-releasing them sometime this holiday and not through the Free Shop. <3

What would Luminaire be without a tree? Choose your 2021 tree and have fun decorating it. You can even add a backdrop to your tree! If the tree or ornaments aren’t showing up, clear your browser cache and try again. You can mass add all ornaments from your inventory to your ornament inventory here.

How do you get ornaments? You can donate sP to Melody after visiting her cottage for the day and receive an Old Box of Ornaments. When you open the box, you’ll find a random selection of ornaments. If you are missing ornaments, please file a ticket.

Only want friends to leave your gifts under your tree or maybe no gifts at all? You can adjust your Luminaire gift settings here.

Mysterious Melody, as you may have noticed, is still closed even though Luminaire has started. There will be some fun changes this year and there will be a news post explaining it when it reopens in a few days!

Note: When the feature gets released, this section will be edited with the changes for quick reference for everyone!

Keep an eye out for the snow fairy minions, which you can give via random event. There’s an achievement, Fairy Catcher!, when you find one.

You can release snow fairies from your inventory for the Free all the Fairies achievement. There is also an achievement, Fairy Collector for having one of each color snow fairy in your inventory.

I know you are all itching to throw a snowball or two but the Snowtapult won’t be opening until Winter properly starts on December 21. When the feature reopens, we will have a post explaining how it works and items that may help you avoid getting hit in the face with snow.

Spread joy on the Luminaire Forums. We’ll keep these forums open until January 5, so any contests can be finished up after Luminaire ends.

If you visit the cottage and receive your gift all 31 days, you’ll receive the Melody Regular 2021 achievement (prize to be added later in the month). If you visit the first 25 days, you’ll receive the Lumineve Regular 2021 achievement.
