Ounce has won the Pet Spotlight!
The mood is tense here in Shadowglen, as the Centropolis Guard has been held up at the border by red tape. Underground, the situation continues to deteriorate - Both the Pylot beast and the Zo- UNLIVING are becoming more agitated with the presence of outsiders.
A question remains - Is this beast all it appears to be? With the mysterious pastries still changing hands, could this be a distraction from another serious infection attempt?
With what is clearly snippets of a code on the top of each pastry, Channel 5 will continue to put the clues together, and hopefully find out what communique is being sent, to whom, and for what purpose.

Events have taken a turn for the worse - Angered by throngs of battle-hardened pets and their gung-ho owners, the beast, now being called \'Pylot\', is on a rampage!
Armed units from Centropolis will soon be landing here in Shadowglen to manage the problem, and an evacuation is being carried out for the surrounding area. Residents of Shadowglen should check their local Emergency Alert Station to determine if their district is being evacuated.
Channel 5 will continue to bring you information as the story develops.

Hello, I am Titania McGee with Channel 5 News, your best source for up-to-date information.
With the mysterious pastries now confirmed to be of Zombie origin, it is hard to believe that the survival celebrations could take yet a darker turn this year, but it seems that all the activity in the Underground has sparked confusion and violence in the terrible infected beast.
Unfortunately, I was not able to gain access to the Underground as a human, so information about the terrible creature is slim at this time. Pet owners, expecially those that train their pets for colliseum events, are reminded to steer clear of the Underground, and to let professionals handle whatever monsterous creature lurks below.

While no biological threats were found in testing on the baked goods, you have no doubt noticed the code included on the tops of these pastries. It appears to be Morse Code, and we have reason to believe that some secret message will be transmitted within the coming days.
The SAI will be passing out quick-reference sheets for Morse Code to anyone with a full set of pastries. We ask citizens to continue to be vigilant, and report anything that looks like a secret message to your local field office immediately.

Breaking News from the Subeta Agency of Intelligence: It seems that the boxes of pastries and trinkets have their origins in the Zombie Underground, and already, Subeta is on edge - Could this be a new means of spreading the virulent zombie infection that just two short years ago threatened us all?
Citizens are encouraged to securely store any objects they have found in these mysterious giftboxes until more information is available, or they are picked up by the appropriate authorities. If you have eaten any of these pastries or fed any to your pets, please make your way to your nearest medical facility for decontamination, testing, and treatment.
The SAI is requesting that citizens come forward with any information they have about the giftboxes.

There seems to be something afoot in the underground, according to leaked SAI documents from an insider. Numerous reports from un-named "junior agents" mention a previously-undiscovered creature lurking in the darkness.
As of yet, there have been no reports of injuries caused by this creature, but citizens are advised to stay away from the Shadowglen Underground until there is more definitive information about the origins of the beast.
