We will be clearing FROZEN ACCOUNTS (and pets) that have been frozen for more than 10 Months on Saturday, February 4th at 3PM!

Again, this clearing is only for frozen accounts.
Custom Clothing: Reopened!
Party Time Curls

It's come at last, the time you've all been waiting for--

What? No, no, not an account clearing-- Custom Clothing is reopened and better than ever!

The changes that User not found: grelca described in her announcement have been implemented, and now if you have an item denied, you will get a clear, concise bulleted list telling you why. Hopefully, since we are not having to draft denial reasons unique to each submission, things will be able to turn around much more quickly for you.

As ever, we are open to feedback that will help us make this feature better for all of you. Thanks so much for your patience during the downtime.

Remember that everyone who attends (for more than an hour!) gets a special achievement which comes with the Meetup Bag!

We've made a Facebook Group for the users who intend to go! Please sign up so that we can figure out the headcount and such!

These really are a lot of fun, and we mostly just sit around and talk about things for a few hours. Topics range from Subeta to Doctor Who to Glee, to just about anything!

New PIN Features
Due to popular request, two new PIN options have been added for extra security: "Remove Item from Pet Treasure" and "Gift Item to User"

Enabling PIN requests for "Remove Item from Pet Treasure" means you must enter your pin whenever you remove an item to a pets' treasure chest.

"Gift Item to User" means whenever you send an item to a user from your inventory, you will be asked to enter your pin.

Note: PINs are entirely optional. This change will not affect anyone who is not using a PIN or has these specific PIN features disabled.

You can find these options in Your PIN Preferences!
Custom Clothing Reminder
I\'d like to offer everyone a friendly reminder that we\'re taking custom clothing submissions (including re-releases) down for a few days to make some changes. If all goes as planned, they should be reopened on Friday, January 27!

Thank you for your patience! :)

Custom Wearables: Upcoming Changes
Along with the CW downtime previously announced for next week, we're going to be making a number of changes to the way submissions and purchasing items works and taking that time to test the new system. The days of collecting all that CSC and manually distributing the items are soon to be over, folks!

How it'll work is something like this:

A seller gets 10 item slots that they can assign to any users they want in any configuration they want. They can give all 10 to themselves, all 10 to different people, 9 for themselves and 1 for a friend, anything. They will also be able to assign a "cost" amount to each of these slots. This will allow you to set your own flexible selling prices, and they can be whatever you want. The only requirement is that the total of all the slots has to be at least 5,000 CSC to cover the cost of the CW.

As a buyer, once you have been assigned a slot, you will pay for it directly on the CW page, and once all slots are paid, the item will automatically be submitted for approval.

If the item is approved, the seller gets the overhead CSC and the 10 items are automatically distributed to the slot holders. If it is denied, anyone who paid CSC will get their CSC back.

This process will be the same for both initial submissions of CWs and subsequent released batches.

Please note that the testing for the new system will not be open beta testing. A number of CW sellers have been contacted asking if they'd like to participate, and if you are buying an item that will be part of the testing your seller will let you know.

Job Agency Feedback

Thank you to all the Gold Account members that are beta testing the Job Agency! We are pleased with its current progress, but would like for all beta testers to fill out the Job Agency Feedback Form. The feedback will further help us improve the Job Agency for final release.

Note: Beta testing will remain live until further notice and that all feedback answers will remain private.

Custom Clothing: Temporary Shut Down
Picket Sign of Impending Doom
Ohno! Road Sign

Custom Clothing (both new submissions and re-release of approved items) will be temporarily closed beginning Monday, January 23, 2012 for internal maintenance. This is so we can catch up with the queue and have time to make some important changes that will help us better serve you. We are aiming to have them reopen Friday, January 27, 2012.

Thanks for your understanding!

SOPA!
Censor Bar
Censor Bar
Censor Bar

I'm sure you've noticed that today Subeta, and lots of other sites are protesting SOPA.

I touched on it lightly a few weeks ago, but SOPA (and it's senate alternative PIPA) are bills currently in development in the United States that would kill artistic freedom, and really the whole internet as we know it. Imagine if SOPA had passed five years ago, youtube would have never existed and you wouldn't have some of the most awesome videos wouldn't have ever existed. DeviantArt, Twitter, Tumblr, and most importantly, Subeta could never exist under SOPA/PIPA.

So please, Take Action today. Call your senator and your congressional representative and tell them that how you feel about SOPA. If this is your first call to a representative, here is a handy guide!

If you aren't American, here is what Wikipedia says that you can do!

I don't live in the United States. How can I help?

Contact your local State Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or similar branch of government. Tell them you oppose SOPA and PIPA, and any similar legislation. SOPA and PIPA will affect sites outside of the United States, and actions to sites inside the United States (like Wikipedia) will also affect non-American readers -- like you. Calling your own government will also let them know you don't want them to create their own bad anti-Internet legislation.

I suggest watching this video as well!

Custom Clothing: New Submission Limit

There has been an important change to Custom Clothing submissions. Effective immediately, you may submit each custom item a maximum of 10 times. After an item has been submitted ten times without meeting our requirements, we reserve the right to deny without further explanation. (There is a chance this limit may be lowered in the future. We feel that 10 tries is very generous, and it may just be a good way for us as staff and you as users to get used to the idea before we figure out what is fair and mutually beneficial.)

This is going to actually serve you in two ways. First, we are going to now be more careful to catch all the changes that need to be made as early as possible. Second, a final denial means we can get to other items in queue to help keep things moving more efficiently. We also hope this will motivate those of you submitting items to carefully comb over your submission and have it critiqued thoroughly by your peers before we see it.

As always, we are here to answer all your questions and concerns and appreciate your continued patience as this feature of Subeta grows and evolves.

Facebook Fix!

For the past couple of weeks the Facebook Integration has been broken and we haven't been pushing status updates to your facebooks! This has been fixed (and as you can see above, the image that SHOULD correspond with your updates should be pushed now!) however there may be a small issue. If the button in your sidebar or on the feed page says Login to Facebook please click it so that we have an up to date session for you and can continue pushing updates!

Job Agency Beta Release

Subeta is proud to announce the beta release of the Job Agency to Gold Account members. As always, we have appropriated a thread on the Gold Account forums for feedback and bug reporting. Enjoy!

Note: The SAI is not in the beta version, but it will be returned in the full release.

1 Week Gold Account Medal

For those of you do not have a a Gold Account membership and are interested in testing the beta version: consider purchasing a 1 Week Gold Account Medal or a 1 Month Gold Account Medal at the Cash Shop. Just please be aware that all game data will be cleared at the end of beta testing and the feature will be released to all as new.
Custom Clothing: Updates
Friendship Cube

Hey, everyone! We just wanted to let you know that we're currently going through and updating custom items today as mentioned here. Thanks for being patient with us through this process; it took a little bit longer than anticipated, but we think you will be really pleased with the results.

A couple of questions have popped up as we have been revamping these items.

Can submitting users still release more batches of these items?

Yes. The users who submitted these items to Subeta still retain full right over them and can release as many or as few batches of their revamped item as they like. We felt this was a vital privilege of owning a custom clothing item that should not be taken away.

What about recolors of these items?

The answer to this comes in two parts. If your item was revamped but the overlay was untouched, you may request the PSD from the artist who redid your work and release recolors in the future. If however, your overlay was edited (regardless of whether or not the item was touched), we will not be permitting you to recolor that item for release on Subeta.

We hope you continue to enjoy the Custom Clothing feature of Subeta, and we look forward to seeing more of your imaginative ideas!

Trivia Glitch
Heavy Hand Held Firework Launching Tube
Heavy Hand Held Firework Launching Tube

There was a problem (as I know many of you already know) when the trivia was changing over last night. For some reason the script stopped processing in the middle of giving out prizes, which caused not everyone to get their prizes (or the "sorry you got it wrong" events) or for the trivia to change at all.

Unfortunately, there\'s no way for us to know who got their prizes and who didn\'t, so the only recourse now is for you to file tickets to get your prizes.

KEEP IN MIND

We only keep your trivia answers recorded until the next one is released! This means that in order for a UA to verify you had the correct answer, they have to check it before midnight next Thursday night/Friday morning. This means if you don\'t file your ticket until 11:59 Thursday night they probably won\'t be able to help you. Be proactive and don\'t procrastinate!

I am super sorry for the inconvenience this has caused everyone. But as a silver lining (since I am an eternal optimist), at least we keep your previous answers recorded now, right?

Rule Update!

We\'ve changed the rule regarding ForumText and signatures in the forums. While you may still receive both verbal and Official warnings if you exceed the limits, these no longer count towards your freeze total.

If you are given enough warnings over your ForumText or signature, your only punishment will be no longer being able to use those features in the forums :)
