There are a couple of special little creatures who only come out at this time of year, at tree untrimming time, to create underfoot mayhem and static electricity! I am quite sure that some of you will recognize them...

Those of you confused, the recode is located at http://rewrite.subeta.org.
Right now the recode does not work in Internet Explorer, or Opera. This is due to an error in the javascript that will be the focus of the testing groups.
The recode is being moved to a new server, as even the little traffic it has got so far has been too much for it (it's on an itty bitter server compared to the ones Subeta runs on!) so hopefully that will speed things up soon :)!
And - Yes. You do need to make a new account on rewrite.subeta.org, and it will be cleared as soon as the preview is over :)
The recode is currently being moved. Also, please do not put WWW before the URL (ie: www.rewrite.subeta.org) as this will move you to the normal subeta, with your normal account.

While all of you are enjoying the Giveaway (look out for those 10 Nicole Richies! :x) we have another exciting thing happening tonight :)
This Thread has all of the information relating to the Recode Preview! This will open December 30th at 12:01AM (tonight!)
I'd like to stress that this is, just a preview. You will have to register a new account (You'll be given 500,000sP to play with ;)!) and it will only be open for two days.
We are not asking for any feedback, bugs, or glitches. Throughout January (hopefully that's it!) we will be opening the recode to various test groups (more information on that later) to find those problems, so we just want you to enjoy what we've finished so far for the last days of 2007 :)

A lot of people seem to be confused about this - so I'll put it here :)

Have your stripey equine friends been feeling a little...vulnerable lately? The Weapons Warehouse and Defend and Conquer have teamed up to present a new line of top-quality weapons so they can feel a little safer in those shady stables you keep them in next to that zoo full of hungry velosotors!
As December comes to a close, the Avalanche Emporium has decided to close its doors, and start freezing up snow for next year! The Snowtapult however will be staying open for as long as you have snowballs left ;)

Trying to keep up with demand from the demand for new and old items, the Holiday Shop behind, but was finally able to release these items before Christmas!

The Plushie Parlor, already short on staff for the season, has worked hard to push the Snowmen and Holiday Lion plushies out the door!
During the next two days, we will have small amounts of downtime for server upgrades. One of our main php/apache servers had a hardware failure, which is the reason for all the most recent lag :( So we are going to be finding the problem, and also adding some new hardware to our network :)

Maleria has increased the restock rate of the Blackheart Hollow.
She's also cast a new protection spell for the amount of time you can spend inside the hollow, to stop those sneaky people who found a way around her previous magic ;)
Logically, the Christmas Present should have been $5 all along (2x2.50=5! We know our maths :x) - so we've updated them to reflect that!

It's that time! The elves have prepped and started up the Secret Santa service!
When you join, you'll be paired with someone anonymous, throughout the day you can send each other items :) At the end of the day, the game resets, and you will never know who your secret santa is ;)
There was a bit of a mix up with the item version of a wearable, which has now been corrected. To make up for it, the happy little elves in Riverside Valley have decided to give the lovely little wintry bird Minion as the first Free Gift of December
