I'm not sure if you recognize me, but it's Fantine! Quite a change, right!? Graveyard Donadak and Xotl




Once again, Shadowglen citizens aren't the only ones looking like they just came back from the grave. Graveyard donadaks and xotls have been seen roaming topside. It should be easy to bring one into your home, should you so choose. (How fast can they possibly move?)

So, let's say that you undead, looking for a place to get festive and celebrate the holiday. What can you do? Where can you go that would have an exciting selection of food and beverages to fit your very refined and elegant undead palate? If only there were some kind of pub that one could find, maybe in the underground, that was now fully repaired and ready for discerning customers of taste and sophistication.

Hi, everyone! I wanted to apologize for the late delivery of my flowers this year, but these frosts have been wreaking havoc, even with my green houses! There should now be enough flowers to go around. Hopefully everyone will be able to pay their respects at the memorial, now.



Don\'t forget to give your very special friends a peck on the cheek, either. It wouldn\'t be in the spirit of the season to forget something like that.

Site Preferences: Stealth Mode

We noticed that the Stealth Mode setting in User Preferences was set to on automatically when a new user registered, which was causing confusion (and users thinking their new friends were never online :().



This has been changed, and we suggest taking a look at your preferences to ensure you have them set up correctly.

Survival Celebration Update




This is Channel 5 News, your best source for up to date information.



It has been a quiet year so far. While a few new strains of the Zombie Virus have popped up, medical experts are saying they were prepared, and that a cure is already in the works. Is this the sign of good things to come? This reporter will continue to avoid Shadowglen all the same!



But that isn't true for many people, it seems! It appears that people are flocking to Shadowglen, probably to enjoy the thrill of the Zombie capital while the danger level remains low. Tourists are encouraged to stay safe, and to see their doctor for any relevent innoculations before their trip.



Thankfully, there have been no sightings of suspicious packages this year, but citizens are encouraged to keep an eye out for unusual activity and report it to the appropriate authorities.

Multiple Infections
Just pushed a change to fix the multiple new infections thing. It won't take effect until the affected user actually loads a page, so you may still see some around for users that haven't logged in or whatever.



I took the site down for a few minutes to take a backup of all of the hex data just in case something goes wrong with this code; if it does all hexes will be rolled back to then. But I'm confident it will be fine! :)



ALSO: Please note that HAs are cached for like five minutes or so, so your HA might look like it still has multiple infections but that doesn't mean it does.

Survival 2012: The Memorial
It has been three long years since The Great Pandemic rocked our way of life, and so it is time for us to show our respect and love for those who perished (or worse!). The Seedlings Shop is stocking flower arrangements, both new and old, to set at the memorial, and the Bake Stop is sure to have some special new treats to show your friends and family how much they mean to you.



No one can tell for sure what this year will hold, but this reporter is hoping for a peaceful holiday. Channel 5 will continue to report on the holiday festivities as they unfold! If you placed an order for charms for us back in December, we are thrilled to let you know that they have finally been shipped out and are on their way to you! Your order shipped from Chicago on Saturday, so keep your eye out for them! Here are some notes about the orders:



    * All orders were shipped USPS First Class mail. This means, unfortunately, that we do not have tracking information for each envelope.

Job Agency is live!


The Job Agency in Centropolis is officially out of beta testing and live on the site to all members! Subeta would like to thank all of those Gold Account members for their support and extensive feedback.



A few new features were recently added during the beta and feedback stage such as random bonuses (strength, level, and intelligence), job histories, the pet's job title on its profile, wage increases, the return of the SAI industry, achievements and more.



As we've mentioned on its beta release, all game data has been truncated and all users are on the same playing field for its site-wide release.

Today I'm going to remind you about the Suggestions page, that tells about friends, forum groups, and topics that you might want to take a look at, based on what your other friends are doing!



To get there in the future, you go to interact in the drop downs, and select suggestions!



If you don't have any suggestions, it means that you need to make a couple more friends! If you haven't already, introduce yourself, and browse the forums for topics that interest you ;)!

Back Up!
Welcome Back!




Welcome back Subeta! We're bringing everything back online, and we apologize for the extended downtime. We had some technical problems resulting in having to import all of our data instead of just being able to "upgrade" our data when we updated to the newest version of our database engine!



We're here now, and hopefully the upgrade results in a faster, more stable Subeta, especially for upcoming events ;).



Just a note, you may notice some slight hiccups or disruptions in the site for the next day while we tweak our configuration to match this version of MySQL and get the most out of our setup.

Server Maintenance




We will be taking the site down for maintenance at 1AM Subeta time tonight, to do database work. We will be doing a number of things, including exporting (making a backup) of the existing data, pruning and dropping data that is no longer used, and upgrading our version of MySQL. We will have a complete backup of all the data before any of these changes right from the start, as well!



We will have updates on Facebook and Twitter during the downtime, and we will be reblogging art and other fun things on our tumblr!

I'm sure you noticed, but today we changed the general pricing of all of the elixirs in The Magic Box. We did a couple of things:



1. Increased the prices on all elixirs about 7-10x the price they were, depending on rarity.

2. Removed all elixirs from vending machines.



Our goal is to make elixirs profitable for restockers, and something that new (and old!) users have to save for to get. Right now at a price of 1,000sP and just sitting in the magic box (or easily vendable, or purchase from a user for 50sP) there was no need to worry about getting an elixir.
