I played the tune, it wasn't perfect, I missed a few notes when Sock knocked something over and bumbled a few more when Buskin tried to rub up against my leg. The felis never seemed to bother father, and he hated that they bothered me. But I was only a boy, and I had tried so hard. I looked up at him with eager expectation: the hope of a hug, a hair ruffle, or even a smile. He had none for me.
"I've listened. You are a distracted boy, Johannes. How can you possibly own the stage if every little thing disturbs you? I expected better. I expect the best, in fact, and I do not think this is the path you should be following. Now leave me, Johannes. I have to work.
Why can't he just be proud of me? Why do the felis make him happier than I ever did? Why am I unable to escape my imperfections? I am so small in front of him. The littlest violinist on the stage, and they will eat me alive.

Johannes may not be the most harmonious shopkeeper to talk with, and you have to excuse his many puns, but he does know his music. He isn't one to become involved in things outside of the music world so it can be difficult to get to really know him, although it's been whispered that a nice hot pretzel can really change his tone.
There is one thing that will not put you in Johannes' good music books, though. If you can figure out what it is, then beware! If you can figure out what unlocks him, Johannes is a challenger that will really get you in treble.
Once you unlock Johannes, he will appear in the Secret Tab.
Unlocking Johannes is not limited to just this month like with our Throwback Challengers. While we'll continue releasing a challenger on the second Thursday, you'll have plenty of time to unlock them.

I honestly do not get the priorities of this place, sometimes. Like, y’all remember I drove my pizza van up a mountain just to help out, right? Do you even know what kind of logistical nightmare it is to get a van onto an unincorporated tropical island to begin with? And that’s just a normal island! This one was cursed by a sea witch! Now, to be fair, I did use the power of fourth-wall, but that’s not the point my dudes.
You know what? Whatever, let all the people with terrible taste have their precious, beloved blob garbage. I’ve got something for the rest of us.
