Happy (almost) New Years to all! The Token Shop will be having restocks until early Friday, so keep an eye on the shop!
I've also gone ahead and donated a few older token shop items to the free shop! Nothing that will be restocking over the next few days in the Token Shop, but I'm sure you'll find at least one interesting thing.
Just had a run in with a lizard minion. Lucky for you guys, I wrestled some r99s out of it and am for some reason generously donating them to the free shop. And lots of stickers, of course.

I been an' snuck into thar booty hold 'n grabbed some o' thar loot t' throw out. They 'ave more than they would ever be able t' sell forward, anyway.

*Translation for non-Pirates: My dearest but slightly dim husband, Angrybeard, forgot to buy me a present for Luminaire! After I cooked a lovely meal for him and his Freyalise comrades. That was rather inconsiderate of him. Rather than be angry at him, I borrowed a few items from the crew's rather large stock, as they have plenty to spare!
I'm going to give it away for free, to you. Just seeing his face when he notices the smiling Subetans walking around with his and his crew's old items. That's more than enough of a Luminaire present for me!
What better way to end the year than to have one big giveaway? To start things off, Melody has graciously donated ornaments, as well as the most recent items from her cottage!

Dolly and I have finally put together all the prizes for our snowball fight. It wasn’t easy getting all the random melody items together, but we did it!
Are you curious to see what you got? Make sure to visit us to get your goods! You’ll be given your participation prizes, your team prizes if you threw enough snowballs, your super cool trow trophy, and if you were on my team you’ll get a cool winter background! The top 10% snowball throwers also will be awarded their cool achievement.

Happy Luminaire! Take a break from busy social obligations to read the Subetapedia articles on the Arctic Frost pets: the cybill and anyu! Don’t forget to visit the Ruffie Raffle to try your luck at getting one of their lifelike dolls. Good thing they are lifelike and not lifesize, since the real thing is pretty big when it comes to the anyu!

Do you feel that chill in the air? Winter is really here. The Millionaire Center rotated its stock to reflect the change in season! Be careful with some of these items, you don\'t want to get too drunk on that spiked cocoa and end up missing the Lumieve feast!
On the subject of yakking, a new season means a new satchel from the Millionaire Center, and this one will help you climb mountains! Remember when you open one of these, you are able to pick one item out of it! Which item will you choose?

The fall-themed Recycle Beast items have been retired...
...in order to make room for some winter ones--old and new! Get them while you can, they\'ll retire until next winter 2-3 weeks after the end of Luminaire!

The Cash Shop is having a bonus this weekend just in time to get some last minute Luminaire shopping in! Any and all CSC you purchase from now until December 22nd at noon, with Stripe or Paypal, will be increased by 20%!
With this increase, you’ll be rewarded an item with every purchase! If you use Paypal, you will receive a Gilded Turquoise Cloak and if you use Stripe you will receive a Warm Citrine Sweater!

We will be removing all events before October 2014 on December 20th. If you have any events you would like to save, we suggest screen shotting or copying them into a text file on your computer.
Earlier today, the shopping district of Subeta was rocked by turmoil as a debate raged on between two shop owners: Tobias of the Toy Box, and Dolly of the Candy Shack. I was able to determine the source of the turmoil in my exclusive interview with Dolly this afternoon:
“Tobias thinks he’s SO cool running the toy shop, like it’s somehow BETTER than my candy shop. I mean come on, no stupid toy is ever going to be as awesome as getting a whole box of CANDY for Luminaire!â€
At this point, Tobias interjected:
“Dolly, you are the stupid one. Like candy would ever be better than toys! Candy is gone in like, 2 minutes but toys can be played with all Luminaire! “
“Pfft, your cheap toys always end up broken in 2 minutes, and then you’ve got a broken toy AND no deliciously full belly. Sorry not sorry, but candy is obviously the winner.â€
“There’s only one way we can settle this. You want to snowball fight for it?â€
“HECK YEAH I DO!â€
I bravely tried to petition for a cease snowball, but it seems that these fierce titans of industry cannot be reasoned with, though I did get them to agree to a set of rules in order to keep the frostbite at bay! As well as battling for honor, the two shopkeepers are willing to give a few prizes to those that help them out.
For participating:
• Team-themed achievement and title

• 3 retired Melody’s Cottage items

• Trow Trophy for your profile!

In addition to the participant prizes, the winning team will receive: 

• 2 retired Melody’s cottage items

• A special winter themed wearable
And that's not all! You can also win a team-themed item from your own team’s captain if you manage to throw a certain amount of snowballs over the course of the battle. The top 10% of snowball throwers from either team will also receive a special achievement and title!

There is also now a Luminaire forum for you to find potential targets! All Luminaire threads have been moved there, make sure to only hit members of the opposing team! Also, you can only be hit by snowballs if you choose to participate in the fight!
Who will rise victorious and who will get the cold shoulder? Only time will tell!
The holiday season is a busy one when you work in a toy store, which is why Tobias is now offering positions at the Toy Box! Check out the Job Agency to see if your pet qualifies to work in such a hectic (and fun) environment!

Good winter times to you, holiday merry-time maker. It is good weathers outside, ya? Or is not? Maybe you is preferring to stay inside of your houses and play with these new nostalgic pets instead? The nostalgic velosotor is being very fierce! I am thinkings you should be keeping it away from china from the grandmas, you is understanding? The nostalgic pherret is seemings much gentler. And it gets from the top of the stairs to the bottom fast like lightnings! If you is wantings help to build them, you come see me at my workshop, and bring instructions and an Essence of Melody, ja?

Be careful when setting up your tree, especially if you have cats! Just look at the damage to these ornaments. :(

Did you find something mysterious today at my Cottage? Were you wondering what on Subeta it could be for? It was a little teasing of me, but I just couldn\'t resist! The color red is rather delightful, isn\'t it? I do love everything red. Holly berries, cranberries, and cherries especially! That\'s why I got together with some of the right potion-making people, and we put together this lovely new potion for your pets. As well as today\'s gift, you can also restock the Cherry Potion now in The Magic Box!
Oh, but it IS the festive season, so we felt like we could be extra generous. Silver is now also a new colour available to your pets! How can we have gold without silver? The Silver Potion is available now to restock in The Magic Box, but if that\'s a little difficult for you, well, maybe you better wait and see what I leave you under your trees this year ;)
Not all of the pets are available in Cherry and Silver yet, but more will be added over the coming weeks! I\'ve also been speaking with Vanya, who supplies his friend over at the Ruffie Raffle - Lifelike Dolls will soon also be given Cherry and Silver versions if their pet counterparts have them!
Tis the season for sprucing up your pets--grab a potion and give your pet a new coat! Or just give this cute new plushie a big snuggle :)

The weather is getting colder, which means it's very important to stay warm! Not every moment can be spent in front of a cozy fire, so I teamed up with Ian Asmodeus to make these stylish jackets. I don't want to give too much away, but each one uses at least one item from my shop, and you're going to have to figure out how to make the Unzipped Asymmetrical Heathered Zip-Up before you can create the others!

Out of ideas on what to send your Mysterious Melody partner? You can now send items from the Gift Center, just choose how much sP to spend!
It\'s beginning to look a lot like Luminaire! We love seeing the clever things you\'ve done with your trees on Subeta so much that we want to see what you\'ve got to show us of your own. This time, we\'re having an ornament creating contest! Show us your Subeta themed ornament, and staff will vote to pick their top three favorites. Winning ornaments will be drawn into real Subeta items that are able to be placed on your trees.
Rule Breakdown:
- You must make a real, tangible ornament. You can use absolutely any media you wish, so this should appeal to almost all of you. Knit, draw, sculpt, paint, you name it!
- Your ornament has to be Subeta-themed.
- Your photo MUST include a sign that says "Luminaire 2014." Any entries without this sign will be disqualified. We want to make sure all entries were created by you! If you forget your sign, the entry page will allow you to re-upload your image including it.
- You\'re allowed to use existing ornaments as part of your creation. For example, adding ears and painting a face on a bauble. However, the more creative you are the better. Remember, staff will be voting on them!
- Include a title and description (500 characters or fewer) that you would want to be used for the on-site item should your ornament win.
You can enter your ornament until end of day December 14th. The winning ornaments will be released shortly thereafter. :blush:
Winners will receive a copy of their ornament and 2000 CSC! All entrants will get a Luminaire prize pack, an achievement, and a forum title!

Hey, pet lovers of Subeta!
We've decided to make a small change to the pet spotlight! Instead of the pet spotlight being every night, it will now be three times a week. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, a pet will be chosen from the accepted pets to be the featured pet on-site. We will be testing this new schedule out for a while, so get out there and work on your pets - there's still plenty of opportunities to win!
