I am, of course, speaking of the goddess, Shinwa. Too long has this self-styled goddess perched up in her temple, doing nothing to better the lives of the peasa—people she has tricked into worshipping her. I aim to correct this.

Thanks to the efforts of several creative volunteers, and people who support their Princess’s return to her throne, I am now ready to peacefully reclaim my birthright. Certainly, if Shinwa has any sense or compassion, she will graciously vacate the premises and cede the land back to me. No one needs to be hurt, nor will they _{provided they comply.}

Of course, if she refuses to leave quietly, it might not go well for her. I would hate for such an outcome to occur! Now, I am aware there are some terrible rumors swirling about me and my volunteers, crazy tales of “possessions” and violent amalgamations. I can only assure you that they are all false and slanderous ramblings, no doubt spread by Shinwa’s acolytes. No one did anything they didn’t want to, any influence I had was… minor, at best. So! With all that said, I shall now proceed to Saherimos.

And should …certain people… try to delay my return, I will show them a mere fraction of what I have prepared for Shinwa. Consider this your last friendly warning, my dear future subjects.”

Hello, everyone! Thank you for bearing with us while we found the organs, er, code, to resuscitate the Voluntary Infection Program. That's what happens when dealing with older bodies of work (ten years' worth, in this case, of different viruses with different stage lengths), the code sometimes needs a bit of patching especially to make sure the problem is handled for good. Fortunately, Keith's update should help next year as well as give Survival its teeth back for 2022.

We understand that it's frustrating when problems crop up, and we really do appreciate you sticking with us through Subeta's various holidays. We'd rather things go off without a hitch, but any endeavor with (for instance) the complexity of the VIP program has a lot of moving parts and we wanted to make sure it was all ready rather than just pushing out an incomplete fix that might cause other issues later.

Now that the Voluntary Infection Program is fully back in fine infectious form, we're extending Survival to 11:59pm on March 9. Thank you all again, and have fun!

Hello, everyone!

We're still getting a bead on the issue with the new virus strains. Keith is continuing to work on it, but we want to make sure we get the root cause solved. While it seems to be related to the newest skins, this problem was not showing itself when Amber triple-checked before starting Survival (it's a tricky one). We need to figure out how to get the entire VIP program working, rather than have more frustration and more bugs if we let Gunner open his doors again with just some of the strains and the issue, er, progresses to them as well.
Once we have the info on what and why went wrong, we'll be making a news post with next steps. We'll also then have more details on extension. Thank you!

Skitters has collected the latest underground fashions and trends just for you! These are perfect for those that don't really fit the sweetheart color scheme Louis provides.

Keep an eye out for floating flowers! You can lay these flowers down at the Survivor Memorial. These flowers also restock at Seedlings.

Snowball throwing have been closed while Survival goes on. We will be decreasing the achievement for throwing snowballs, so you'll be able to go wild when it opens back up! We will be keeping snowballs open past the start of Spring; more information once the feature opens back up.

Thank you all for already sorting over 11,000 items for the battle system! I wanted to post some more information for y'all, such as answers from the comments or staff discussions, in a new post for visibility. Please feel free to ask or comment on this post as well, and join in on the project here if you're just starting.

What is this for?
The battle system is over a decade old, based heavily on Neopets system, and has a lot of room for improvement. This sorting is step 1/100 to just kind of show us where we are with the items that we've got now. Expect a lot more requests for feedback as we figure out changes to make to the battle system!

I wasn't sure where to put something, or I made a mistake on sorting. Am I going to get in trouble?
It's not about right or wrong. We're opening this up to everyone so that we can use the average of answers. Please don't stress yourselves or worry! Does the description or size of it make you think it should be two-handed even if it's one-handed in the overlay? Either one works, then! Does it not have an aura in the image but the description mentions magic? You can mark it as magical or not, whatever vibes.

This doesn't fit into an existing category, are new ones going to be added?
Not in this round, since we already opened it up, but we can do more rounds of sorting with new options and prizes for y'all in the future. If you have doubts or aren't sure, marking it as 'other' is entirely okay!

Why are color-changing potions and plushies in the tagging pool?
Subeta briefly had a PvP battle aspect where potions could be thrown at pets (and change their color). This is no longer available, but that's why they're showing up. Other things may have been tagged as battle items by accident. Potions, plushies, books, or other strange items can be sorted into the complete 'other' category and we can fix it from there.

What's in this for me?
You get a shiny new avatar border at 250 items sorted, 1000 sP for each item sorted, and our thanks for your help!

I found a spelling error or other problem that needs to be fixed in the item's name or description, or I think something about it needs to be changed.

There is a new Reward Card available to fill out! Remember that for each stamp you will earn Loyalty Points (LP) in ascending value to spend in the Loyalty Shop - stamp 1 is 1 point, stamp 2 is 2 points and so forth. Completing a card awards you 5 bonus LP, bringing the total for completing a card to 60LP.

You can fill this card up twice! You will get the same amount of points for filling out each card, so in total you have a chance of getting 120LP. You can spend these points in the Loyalty Shop.

If you’re unsure if you’re on your first or second card, check out your current level. Levels 0-10 are for the first card, 11-20 are for the second card.

This bewitched challenger works differently than your typical challenger. The difficulty changes drastically as you get in more wins against this haunted foe. Its special loot is given out at different amounts of wins instead of the usual 5 & 10 wins. You'll surely be well read after defeating this spooky adversary.

If you start a new subscription (or wait a month) it'll automatically be added to your account. However, if you already have a subscription and visit the Battle Coliseum you should get an event unlocking the challenger.

In the spirit of open communication, I want to let you know I was overly ambitious hoping to get the mysterious melody items out via the new way (hi ice fields) by today. I still have a few things to finish up for it, but since I'm still actively working on this I thought I'd take some user suggestions.

Right now we have one achievement regarding the Ice Fields (Polar Ice Field Navigator) and it's just for getting through to the end. I'm working on adding a few more achievements related to the fields, so comment here if you have suggestions for forum titles for prizes! They can be general ice-themed or sassy titles about surviving the snow etc.

If you have ideas for achievements, I'm open to them! They might not be doable, but I'm happy to hear. At least one new achievement will be revolving around finding items during your time in the field, like Snow Soup. These achievements will not be retroactive, unfortunately!

As many of you know, we had hoped to push out a new Mysterious Melody this past Luminaire. Due to a number of unfortunate events, we weren’t able to get it out in time or in January even like we hoped.

Instead of waiting an entire year to get the new items we had prepared for Mysterious Melody, we are going to release them a different way. :eyes: I still have a bit more testing to do but I plan to get these items out by Wednesday!

Item not found: As of right now, these items are still marked as holiday but once they are properly released, they will have the rarity of 160 because game prize!

The news post for this release later this week will have each of the items listed in the news post for you too! There are a lot of fun items for you to enjoy. <3
