Zisa was born to Freyr and Freyja in Vanaheim. Her parents and grandparents loved and doted upon her, and life was golden in those fair lands.
Then one day there was talk of war with the Aesir for what they had done to her mother. Zisa wanted to know what happened, but neither her parents or grandparents would tell her. All she knew was her mother, father, and grandfather went to war for what seemed to last centuries. Zisa was by no means a fighter, so she stayed home with her grandmother and helped to prepare medicinal salves and potions, take care of the farms, and other tasks while everyone else was away.
Everything changed further when the war was over. Her mother, father, and grandfather were going to live with the Aesir. She couldn't understand why they would do such a thing if what they had done to her mother was so bad it warranted war. But her love for her parents was far stronger than her fear of the Aesir, and she decided to go with her parents to Asgard.
Her mother and father divorced, and her mother remarried a man named Odin. They lived in a great hall in the middle of the largest city in Asgard. Her father was given an entire realm of his own, Alfheim, which he built his own hall. And her grandfather was given his own great hall on the coast. Where once her family was so close, all living together under the same roof, now they were so split apart, and Zisa didn't like it. She would spend her time traveling between halls, spending a season in one, and another season in another.
It was during one of these travels that she was joined, in part, by Loki. The two spent many nights on the road together, as well as in each other's embrace, before Loki made his departure. This dalliance resulted in pregnancy. Although she was asked who the father was, she would always reply that it did not matter who the father was. For one, Loki was married. And for two, she was afraid of being judged. But Loki knew the kid was his.
He told Zisa he would be a father to that child as well. She told him she didn't need him to be a father, she would be able to provide for the child on her own. And that's exactly what she did. She gave birth, in the great hall in Asgard, to a healthy baby boy, whom she named Eldi. Because she was daughter to the queen she and her child had no want for anything.
Her mother's marriage didn't last long, however, and soon she was given her own great and roomy hall in a large plain, so Zisa no longer went to the capital city unless there was a reason to do so, like the Althing. It was just after one Althing that Zisa happened to see the binding of Fenrir. She watched as heroically held his hand in the great wolf's maw, knowing full well it would get bitten off. It was a sacrifice he was willing to make so they might prevent the wolf from possible harm to Asgard.
Zisa was moved by his integrity, and his sense of duty. More so when Thor urged him to pull his hand back, but Tyr held firmly in place while the beast struggled and strained against his bonds. When his hand was bitten off, the other gods could not understand why he wouldn't have pulled his hand back.
"An oath is an oath," was all he replied.
“But this is a monster,” Thor stated with a choff. “Surely you do not need to keep an oath to a monster?!”
“An oath is an oath,” Tyr only repeated himself, clutching his bloody stump.
Zisa felt something stir inside of her. “Oaths are important to keep, no matter who you made them to," she spoke up, stepping out from the crowd and ripping part of her apron to wrap around Tyr's dismemberment. She brought him to the healer, Eir, and stayed with to help her cauterize the wound. It was clear Tyr was in pain, but he did not scream out.
Zisa returned to her mother's hall, but secretly wanted to go back so she could see Tyr. Nine days later, while she was tending the garden, Tyr approached. saying he would like for her to be his wife. Zisa immediately agreed, and the two got married. Now she carries his child, and cannot wait for the day they get to meet him or her.
